Heat exchange espresso machines are similar to dual boiler espresso machines. Both have the ability to pull your espresso shot and froth milk at the same time. The main difference is the boiler setup. Heat exchange espresso machines have 1 large boiler which is mainly for steam. There is a small tube inside that is for the espresso extraction. This setup gives you more power and capacity for making cappuccinos and lattes.
