Lelit Mara X PL62X Heat Exchange Espresso Machine

The Mara X is the Lelit’s next leading breakthrough innovation. Two years in researching, developing, and perfecting the L58E espresso machine now comes to fruition! Lelit’s Mara X espresso machine, with its esteemed L58E grouphead, sports an aesthetic stainless steel body hiding an internal, optimized heat exchange system. Now, you can be an amazing home barista, thanks to how compact the Mara X espresso machine is with its semi-commercial qualities and temperature management system.

Working with a vibration pump manufacturer, Lelit has intensely researched to decrease the noise of Mara’s vibration pump when compared to competitive L58E machines with vibration pumps. The Lelit Mara X espresso machine integrates temperature stability that improves high-quality espresso extractions.

With the help of some of these features, one can enjoy the art and culture of producing excellent espressos, cappuccinos, and lattes in no time! A good grinder is needed, of course, so check out the Lelit PL044MM Fred if you are in the market for one!

Construction:

  • Stainless steel body – Brushed finish diminishes fingerprints.
  • New custom temperature switch – No need to worry about the PL62X’s brewing temperature! Now you can use this new switch behind the drip tray and choose one of three settings. Furthermore, these settings are warm, hot, or extra hot.
  • Height-adjustable feet – Can compromise with the size of your kitchen cabinets.
  • Power plug – Completely detaches from the espresso machine and can fit into the drip tray for long term storage.

PID Controller:

  • Preset Temperature programming – Allows you to select from 3 different boiler temperature ranges for different coffee blends.
  • Pre-set Temperatures Modes – With each mode comes three pre-set temperatures, which are warm, hot, and extra hot.
  • Steam and coffee temperature detection – Performed two times per second and modifies the settings, depending on if the unit is given priority to either coffee mode or steam mode.
  • Double probe system – Sustains the brew temperature in order to consistently make the best shots of espresso.

Heat exchange system:

  • Pull a shot & steam milk at the same time – Steam is always readily available. Hence, there is no wait time going from coffee to steam mode like dual-purpose single boilers. This works well if entertaining a small group of people.
  • Manual reset-able safety thermostat – Located on top of the boiler to prevent overheating. Usually, when a machine overheats, it means you have limescale. The safety thermostat stops the overheating so the boiler and machine do not blow up.
  • Stainless steel, insulated boiler – The boiler is made of AISI 316L stainless steel design helps maintain temperature stability, but please note any stainless steel boiler can still develop limescale. Therefore, we highly recommend using a water softener. The manufacturer wraps the boiler with insulation for maximum heat retention and energy savings.
  • Thermo-siphon double-cycle heat exchanger system – Keeps the brew group and the boiler always hot, at the right temperature range for making espresso.
  • Power-saving system – Decreases the pressure in the steam boiler when the PL62X is not in active use.

Dual pressure gauge:

  • Steam (boiler) pressure gauge – Top half of the boiler, which has steam, is measured. Measurement is from 0 to 4 bar. Optimal pressure is between 0.8 and 1.2.
  • Brew pressure gauge – This gauge measures the pump pressure required to get the water through the ground espresso coffee in the filter basket. If too coarse, the gauge will be below 8 bar. If too fine, the gauge will be over 10 bar. The same applies to the amount of coffee in the basket as well as the tamping pressure. Measures from 0 to 16 bar. Optimal pressure is between 8 and 10.

L58E grouphead:

  • Constantly heated – Hot water circulates from the heat exchanger through the grouphead and back. This is known as the thermosyphon loop.
  • Unique and accurate temperature – Unlike most traditional L58E espresso machines, the Lelit Mara X will allow you to extract espresso temperature is within 2 degrees C. Additionally, you can produce espresso any time without flushing to keep the grouphead’s temperature down.
  • Pre-infusion – Lever next to the grouphead activates a microswitch which turns on the pump to pump water through the coffee grinds. Pulling the lever halfway up will open the valve to allow water into the grouphead without activating the pump. Please note that true pre-infusion requires the direct water connection whereby the water pressure from the waterline creates true pre-infusion. In a reservoir machine, the preinfusion is driven by the build-up internal pressure in the heat exchanger. The newly-designed quieter pump enables getting a longer pre-infusion once the lever is brought all the way up to the horizontal position.
  • Short wait time – The Lelit Mara PL62X is NOW one of the only espresso machines with an L58E grouphead that has a short waiting time in between brewing espresso. Get ready for those back to back shots when entertaining your guests!

Separate steam / hot water wands:

  • Multi-directional – Allows for more movement and flexibility. The wands connect to the valves on an angle to the side for even more flexibility. As a result, there is less risk of burning oneself from the exposed grouphead.
  • Cool touch feature – The Lelit Mara X espresso machine sports cool touch steam wands, meaning that you will not burn yourself while touching them! Additionally, they are simple to clean in order for you to avoid limescale and further enjoy creating your desired micro froth.
  • 2-hole steam tip – Allows for a slow gradual build-up of microfoam.
  • Rotational knobs – Allows for easier control of the intensity. Joysticks typically have fully open and fully closed positions.

Tank / reservoir system:

  • Auto-shutoff – Prevents the heating element from damaging when there is no or low water in the reservoir. There is a two-stage shutoff. There is a magnetic float in the water tank that detects when the water is low. The other is the spring-activated plate underneath the water tank that detects when the tank is removed.
  • Particle filter – Protects the machine from any unseen particles from entering the boiler. You can remove this filter if you are installing an inline water softener.
  • This machine can NOT be plumbed in.
  • Always refill the tank/reservoir outside of the machine.

Silent Technology Vibratory pump:

  • Efficient and quieter vibration pump – New Lelit Exclusive vibration pump that permits you to brew your espresso in your now utmost silent kitchen. Additionally, it provides water flow that gives you the flexibility to make all different types of coffee using different roasts.
  • Cost-effective – Pumps will degrade in performance over time. Replacing a vibration pump will cost less than a rotary vane pump.

Accessories included:

  • Portafilter – 1 coffee slide spout portafilter with three filter baskets (9-11g/14-18g/18-21g).
  • Measuring scoop – A simple plastic scoop used to measure and dose pre-ground espresso coffee.
  • Filter baskets – Three filter baskets included (single 9-11 grams, double 14-18 grams, and triple 18-21 grams).
  • Blind filter basket – used for backflushing/backwashing.
  • Water softener resin filterrecharge minimum twice a month (depending on water hardness) and replace once every 6 months.
  • Small cup riser – Suitable to lift 2 espresso cups so there is less distance in the extraction to cup. This improves the overall quality-in-the-cup.
  • Cleaning brush – For cleaning the grouphead gasket.
  • Tamper – A solid 58 mm tamper in stainless steel and redwood handle. One less accessory you will need to buy.
  • Kit for initial cleaning
    • Backflushing: 3 single-dose packs for the 1st time as well as cleaning the accessories.
    • Steam wand cleaning: 1 dose bottle for the 1st time.
  • Instruction manual – The instruction manual you will receive with this machine specifies that to get a full description of the Lelit Mara X, please download the FULL manual. Please visit Lelit Customer Care to register your customer account and specify you have the Lelit Mara X. From there, you will be able to download the PDF file.

I purchased a Lelit MaraX in August 2020 through 1st Line. About 6 months ago, I noticed the water fill light was never on (blinking or solid) with the exception of sometimes when the water reservoir was first filled it would flash and go solid after filling. Once the boiler is up to temp the fill light goes off, temp light stays solid. The temperature light would blink and go solid after the regular heat time ( 15-20 minutes) so everything was operational until a few days ago when the steam pressure would not go above .5 bars and ran out during use. After this the temp light flashed and the machine did not come back to temp on it's own after running the hot water, grouphead pump and triggering a refill. I'm thinking it's not the auto I've been viewing Lelit videos and reading what I can find anything describing the fill light working intermittently coupled with the steam and sometimes heat not working. Currently I have the machine set to X mode with the Very Hot temp setting but have also tried the other settings for Steam/Coffee mode and the Hot and Warm temps settings. I'm tried disconnected the water level probe and this will trigger the fill immediately and turns off when connected so I don't believe it's the water fill probe. I'm thinking it could be the top temp probe and I haven't tested the heat exchanger temp probe yet.

It sounds like the water is on the cusp of being too pure or both temp probes are corroded and need to be cleaned.

    2. Hi, I purchased a Lelit MaraX approximately 3 years ago and have been experiencing issues with the machine taking significantly longer to warm up to temperature. The initial start from a cold machine usually takes around 1h (whereas it used to be around 25 min). Subsequent start from standby mode (and Lukewarm machine) is significantly longer between 1-2h. It seems to cycle through a fair bit of water before eventually coming to temperature. The steam pressure has been relatively weak as well. It seems that the typical steam boost I used to get after a shot isn't kicking in anymore and the steam pressure will just slowly trickle down to 0.5 as I froth milk often giving mediocre results. Warm up time is long regardless of wether the machine is set to brew or steam temperature priority mode. I've only used re-mineralized distilled water that should avoid any scale buildup, but I can take the mushroom out as an initial step to rule out scale though I doubt this is the issue. It seems to be a sensor vs electronic issue. I've read of people replacing their solid state relay resolving the issue. Any thoughts? I'd like to fix the issue myself if at all possible because we're several hours out from NJ. Thanks!

      Answered by the admin

Sounds like a compound problem of the boiler not filling (usually a boiler refill valve issue - stuck, not opening, or clogged) and the safety or bleeder valve constantly open. This one is difficult to determine without seeing the machine in person to evaluate. Hence, a professional may need to look at it.

    6. I purchased one of the original Mara X machines from you in 2021 (PL62X) and have a bit of a water leak off the group head so I was told over the phone it was a seal leak and I need a new shower screen gasket. On the updated machine I believe it is part number MC930-2. Not sure if this is the same gasket. Can you walk me thru the order process to get the correct part, please? Thanks

Yes, the portafilter gasket for PL62X is part number MC930-2.  You can complete the purchase process by going to the 1st-line home page and typing MC930-2 into the search bar.  You can also follow the link to our self service parts page, located near the bottom of our home page, and follow the instructions there.   Thank you for your question.

    8. My Lelit MaraX is no longer producing steam pressure needed to steam milk. Pressure gauge says it has enough after pulling a shot, but once the valve is opened the pressure drops and the temperature light starts to blink. I don’t know if she needs a heavy duty cleaning or descaling, or if she has something stuck/broken. Please help!

      Hi,

Per Lelit, it is described as SCREW TBEI M4x10 UNI EN 7380 (INOX). Part number is 9100023

    14. After installing the Lelit flow control kit on my new Mara X when I raise the lever half way it vents pressure (steam and water) out of the brew head and some water out of the drain. If j continue to raise it the pump comes on as normal. It does not do this with the stock preinfusion spring installed. This does not seem right. I have also removed the bottom drain spring. If I lift the lever half way water will dribble out and sounds like pressure is being releived out the brew head. It will also vent pressure out of the brew head if I lift the lever half ay after the machine has been turned off but still hot.

Q1. After installing the Lelit flow control kit on my new Mara X when I raise the lever half way it vents pressure (steam and water) out of the brew head and some water out of the drain.

      A1. yes, this can happen.

Q2. If j continue to raise it the pump comes on as normal. It does not do this with the stock preinfusion spring installed.

A2. correct. Different springs have different pressures to control the grouphead.

Q3. This does not seem right. I have also removed the bottom drain spring.

A3. It can happen. Why are you even just pulling up the lever half way? Go full up and use the paddle to control preinfusion.

Q4. If I lift the lever half way water will dribble out and sounds like pressure is being releived out the brew head. It will also vent pressure out of the brew head if I lift the lever half ay after the machine has been turned off but still hot.

A4. Yes, water turns to steam from the hot machine and creates pressure.

A I think you're probably correct. I partially disassembled and tried to manually manipulate the solenoid as much as I could and when I got everything reassembled it worked normally... so maybe some scale obstructing things and I was able to knock it loose. Probably needs a good descalling now.

Yes, by using less back-flush detergent. Also, a high temp food grade grease lubrication can be used and inserted in the area of the cams. On a cold machine unplugged from the electrical outlet, keep the lever in the down position and remove the screw holding the lever on the right side of the group. Then a socket can be used to remove the entire side assembly. Keep note of the  position of the cam attached to the assembly as it will need to be re-inserted the same. Lubricate the inside and reverse the process for install.

Sorry, the Mara X has no deals at thsi time because they sell very fast - as soon as they come in, they are gone!

As for the water, we very strongly recommend NOT using any distilled, purified, reverse osmosis, NOR any formulated waters. Find a way to softener your tap or bottled water using the Lelit water softener. Per Lelit, target TDS is 80-120ppm. However, there are other contaminants like salts, chlorine, etc that can damage the machine.

We do not recommend descaling unless there is an issue.

A I know you all don’t recommend 3rd Wave waters and such and usually just say use soften water by using the Lelit filter but my question is if I have a home water softener equipment and use filtered water from the fridge - should I still use the Lelit filter or should be ok without it ? Thanks.

A Mario. Not sure how to answer in-line to your comment but I hope you see this. Lelit, turns out, has a very helpful YouTube channel where they have various video to diagnose and fix common issues. I saw one of their videos about this linked here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7eh289nUh4 If that link doesn't work just search for "lelit insider hot water tap". Basically you get an air compressor and blow out the hot water tap to clear a clogged inlet in the boiler. If that doesn't work then you may need to replace the tap, which 1st line sells a tap replacement kit. I would go with the air compressor method first since that's less intrusive.

Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot? There's no water flow from the grouphead (and the boiler doesn't seem to turn on) so I'm guessing I can't descale. With the grouphead lever at rest, check if it touches the microswitch on the front panel right behind the lever. There needs to be some space between them. If there is space, then it can be any combination of the following:

      a) water is too pure and machine can not sense the water in the boiler,

      b) the boiler refill solenoid valve is faulty or clogged,

      c) the boiler refill probe wire is disconnected,

      d) the boiler refill probe is corroded with limescale or oxidation,

      e) the double red thin PID sensor wires is disconnected, and/or

      f) the internal boiler wall is corroded.

We do not think it is the OPV.

Limescale and/or oxidation can happen in as little as 2 weeks as the boiler is overfilling based on the sensitivity of the refill probe. Many bottled waters are bad for espresso machines because they are too pure causing oxidation or to hard with calcium/magnesium. Plus, they can change springs or faucets without telling anyone. Sorry, we do not have a best water recommendation. We do not like formulated waters either.

We suggest descaling as a first step.

I've noticed that pretty consistently it releases a small amount of water from the tiny valve under the housing at the back of the drip tray that instead of going into the drip tray seems to slide down behind the back wall and lay on the base under the tray. This area isn't sealed so for awhile I'd find water dripping out under the machine onto the counter. We adjusted the feet in back so the water stays centered and doesn't run out. 56. I bought my Mara X form 1st line almost 2 years ago. All has run well until recently. The problems occur while running in brew priority mode. I make 2 latte's twice each morning. In each brewing session I pull two espressos first. I steam the first drink during the second espresso. The second steam is done thereafter (different milks used.) This goes well for the first session of the morning. The second session is usually an hour or more later. I pull the first espresso, then I get a flashing temperature light and the steam is weak to non-existent. I do not have this issue with steam priority mode. I do regular backflush cleanings and recharge the water softener. The water softener flows fine and I test hardness before and after each recharge.

Sounds like the machine is in economy mode or sleep mode. Please check.

A I don't know what 'economy mode' is or 'sleep mode' on this machine. Does the temperature light flash when these modes are engaged? As for 'stand by' mode, the power button flashes. This machine is not in standby mode. Further, the machine does not have this problem in steam-priority mode.
A Follow up to my original question. This seems to be not an uncommon occurrence for Mara X owners. My machine is not in standby mode. The issue seems to be the boiler refill procedure in brew priority mode. For the first day's session, no problem. The boiler is topped off with the start-up procedure. My second session of the morning has become a problem. Not enough steam and temperature light flashes while pulling the shots. The solution that I've found to work every time is at the end of the first session of the day, drain water out of the group-head or hot water nozzle until you hear the refill commence. You'll be good for the next session of the day, even if it's hours later. This is not how the machine operated for the first 2 years. Something changed a sensor or something.......
A I did end up solving this problem by replacing the 'Gicar' unit FWIW. All good now. Operates like a Mara X V2

Unfortunately, this confusion happens with a lot of customers new to espresso machines. The brew pressure is NOT a pump pressure gauge. The brew pressure gauge tells you how high the pump will pump based on the resistance of your coffee grind fineness, the amount of coffee in the basket, and the tamping pressure - all three variables create the resistance that will show on the brew pressure gauge. Put in the blind filter, and this will confirm that the pump will go to 9 bar. The reason is the blind does not allow water to pass through and has 100% resistance.

    84. Boiler overfilling: I've had my machine for over 1 year and have always used specification matched water recommended by lelit, as well as the resin filter. Recently, my machine has been overfilling at the end of the heating cycle until the reservoir tank is empty. This causes the steam pressure to jump as the boiler overfills with water. I have checked the temp probe and water level probe both of which were fine with no film on it. I am wondering if this is a solenoid issue where it is stuck in the "open" position? What can I do to find the problem and remedy the issue? Of note, I have been able to get the machine to work by voiding the excess water through the hot water wand (about 300mL) and then the machine will work (sometimes takes 2-3 rounds of draining and the boiler refilling, and me draining again).

This is either an overheat problem or a pure water problem.

Since it happens at the end of the heating cycle, it is most likely an overheat problem as a pure problem will make the boiler overfill at the power up cycle of the machine.

Please watch the steam pressure gauge and see if it goes over 2.75 bar. If it does, the PID sensor on top of the boiler needs to be wire brushed. If not, then the pid sensor on the heat exchange loop at the bottom of the boiler needs to be wire brushed as well. When removing the PID sensor, remember to disconnect the 2 pin black connector so the wire can remove freely and the dual red wire does NOT get twisted. Once twisted, it will not allow the machine to heat at all. If still not resolved, please email us.

WEMO works best. Mechanical timers can cause damage.

    90. The tip broke off my steam wand valve shaft. Part (4000030 part 3) in the diagram - described in the note: "ATTENTION! The components enclosed in brackets are part of a reset kit for wand (code 4000030). They cannot be ordered individually like the other components, but you must buy the entire kit (part1 + part2 + part3 + part4). 1 kit contains the spare parts for 1 wand reset." I think that the person operating it turned it the wrong way and thought it was stuck, and force it. The part that broke off is the tip with the groove, that the ringlet (4000030 part 1) fits into to hold the "cap" part 2200011 on. How do I repair this? I assume I need the "reset kit for wand (code 4000030), but it does not seem to be available for order. Thanks! P.S. I brought my machine in for annual maintenance recently and received excellent service.

However when I opened the steam wand into a cup, there were dark brown particles in the water and a metallic smell that came out. Could there be an issue with the steam wand? The water from the group head didnt have particles or smells.

From our experience across many different espresso machines, black and brown particles are a result of the mineral in the water and these customers also stated a metallic taste.

Several years ago, we had a customer who owned a Silvia espresso machine for about 10 years. He decided to replace it with a new Rancilio Silvia.  After receiving the new Silvia, he complained that black and brown particles were coming out of the hot water wand, but not the grouphead and he stated that he never had this issue with his old Silvia. The problem was that his old Silvia had a PFTE coating on the inside of the boiler and the water would not react with the boiler wall. After flushing the new machine with a different water, the problem of the particles and taste went away.

Although we definitely not water experts, our research has shown this to be magnesium in the water.

Answered by the admin The question is what are you using the machine for. This is a home espresso machine or a small office espresso machine. In X mode, the machine is designed to make up to 2 espresso, cappuccino, or latte beverages. After this, it will overheat the espresso. If making 3 or more, then the Lelit Mara X espresso machine needs to be changed to HX mode. IN HX mode, the temperature for espresso goes down at about the 18th consecutive espresso shot. HOWEVER, we do not like giving these performance factors BECAUSE we know that a machine in Alaska with a different ambient environment will operate differently than a machine say in Texas or Florida. The same goes with voltage - some outlets are 110 volts, some 115 volts, some 120 volts and even some at 124 volts. This can be a 10% difference in machine performance of any espresso machine. In the end, your results may differ.

The first is that once in a while the machine will not immediately 'turn on' to feed water through the group head when I lift the lever. Normally it's fine, but from time to time, usually daily, there's a several second pause between when I lift the lever and when the machine kicks on. This can be anywhere up to 5 seconds. Once it starts it's all good. The second thing is that water appears to be coming out from under the machine. This doesn't always happen either, I don't think. But once in a while water appears under the drip tray.

Sorry to hear this. First thing first, stop using the machine until the water leak is found. Please unplug machine from electrical outlet and allow to fully cool. Please remove the top cover and check for any leaks from broken hoses or parts. If none found, the body panel would need to be removed. Check the underside.

As for the pump action, please replace the water softener if it has not been replaced in the last 6 months. It needs to be recharged minimum every 2 weeks and replaced every 6 months. You can double check this by removing the softener and confirming if the problem goes away or still exists.

If the water softener has been replaced, we suggest removing the water softener and running4 cups of undiluted white vinegar through the grouphead and allow to sit for 2 hours. Then flush the reservoir with water as well as running 2 cups of water through the grouphead every 5 minutes until 16 cups have been passed through. Please do not open the steam or hot water valves in this process.

Please double check to make sure it is in brew priority mode. If yes, then remove water softener (machine can be cold), fill tank with white vinegar or a light descaler and run 4 cups through the grouphead and allow to sit for 2 hours.  Then 4 another 4 cups through and allow to sit for another 2 hours. Remove vinegar from reservoir, and fill twice to rinse with tap water. Fill with tap water. Insert reservoir into machine, and run 1 cup of water every 5 minutes through grouphead until the reservoir is depleted of water. Refill the reservoir with water and test. If resolved, then your water created a coating on the PID sensor on the heat exchanger.

Lastly, it is important to recharge the water softener every 1-2 weeks and replace it every 6 months or less.

If the pump is running constantly, this means the water is too pure and can not be sensed in the boiler. Hence the boiler overfills and water comes out of the safety valve towards the drip tray. The other problem may be the refill solenoid valve is blocked and water can not fill the boiler. Hence, water exits through the OPV.

Best thing to do is take off the top cover and check which hose is pushing water while running. Then email us for a solution. Also, double check any wires.

Sorry for the delay as inquiries have been overwhelming. In addition, our previous response did not make it to the server yesterday.

Cool touch means the wand can be touched quickly and moved. It does NOT mean it can be held. Why? There is a tube inside the wand that minimizes the heat build up. The keyword is minimizes.  The Cool Touch is not made for holding, and even our Mara X in the showroom will get a hot steam wand if run long enough AND held.

The steam tip and connection at the valve will still get piping HOT.

    146. I received my Mara X this week and have been using it to make 2-4 drinks in the morning. The purchase process through 1st-Line and shipping was great. Machine arrived well packed, etc. Unfortunately, I've already noticed a small leak towards the back of the machine near the rear feet. I'm not sure which part of the machine it originates from. I don't suspect the water reservoir because it only seems to appear when the machine has been on/idle. I've noticed condensation rising through the cup tray in addition to what sounds like sputtering from inside the machine. I've used a semi-auto machine at work for some time and have never seen/heard that happen before. I wondered if that could be related or not. Also, I've read about the pump needing to kick on every so often to help regulate temperature on the machine, but it seems as if when leaving the machine idle, it kicks on every few minutes. It wastes an unnecessary amount of water by redirecting it into the drip tray when it does this. I've already found myself emptying the drip tray and/or having to fill the reservoir every day. I find myself trying to avoid the feeling of buyer’s remorse already, but after months of researching machines and a year of saving money, I am making great coffee in the morning, but am still left with a bad taste in my mouth (so to speak). Are these issues something that you have seen with other Mara Xs you’ve sold? Is there a simple solution here, or is it best to return this unit and consider another one of the machines I was originally looking at? Thanks for your time.

Sorry for the delay in responding. After speaking to you, we believe a hose connecting the vacuum valve to the front drip tray come off in shipping. Otherwise, it could have been the plastic connector under the water tank platform (which happened on 12 units in the very first batch in 2020). As suggested, please unplug the machine and remove the top cover.

As for the constant refilling, this can occur when the water is more on the pure side. It has happened on other makes and models. As discussed, when the pump kicks in to fill the boiler because it can not sense the water in the boiler, please open the steam wand and see if water comes out of the steam wand. This excess water in the boiler will come out of the safety valve on top of the boiler and fill up the drip tray. After our phone conversation, there may be one other issue that happened on one other Mara X. Contact us if changing the water does not correct the overfilling of the boiler.

If it damages the unit, it can negatively affect your warranty. If this is the tubing to delivery hot water back to the reservoir, we strongly advise against this because hot water going back to a plastic reservoir is not good - higher chance of mold build up.

A Looks like the new Marax with OPV redirect is doing exactly what is being asked here. How do they mitigate the concern of mold build up if hot water is going to the same plastic water tank?

The PL62X has a second PID sensor on the bottom of the HX tube on the bottom of the boiler to offer more precise temperature control over all other HX machines. There are differences in the body, drip tray, water tank, and electronics as well as the pump.  We do not recommend steaming milk, while extracting espresso,  on any HX machine with less than a 4 liter boiler as taking steam out can open the boiler refill valve which would taking away from the pump's pressure extracting the espresso.

The boiler and heat exchangers should be drained, especially in freezing weather. Under th ebottom panel, there should be a boiler drain plug that can be removed once the unit is unplugged from the outlet and cooled down. As for the heat exchanger, the grouphead lever can be left in the up horizontal position and allow the water to leak out during shipping.

If you are using purified, RO or distilled water, please stop. These waters do not work well with HX and DB espresso machines.

If the steam pressure is on the high side (closer to 2.75 bar), the pressure can increase as water enters the boiler. Eventually, this will force the safety valve to open and put some water into the drip tray. HOWEVER, if you are using one of the above waters, the sensor may not pick up the water and the boiler will be overfilled which will force water through the safety valve continuously or very often.

As it was filling the boiler for the first time, there was a constant stream of water coming from the group head that amounted to about between a cup and a pint. I thought that was unusual. During heat up there was a drip from the group that I know is normal. When I pulled the first shot and shut down the pump, nothing came out of the 3-way discharge into the drip tray and the flow kept trickling as the pressure declined. I decided to try the blank basket to see if some valve was just stuck and needed some back pressure. The pump built up to 10 bar, and a small stream of water would run at the very back of the drip tray, but nothing from the 3-way discharge. Then, I turned the pump off and nothing came out of the 3-way discharge tube. In addition, I can’t remove the portafilter, I believe because the group with the blank is still under 10bar pressure. My thinking is that the 3-way solenoid valve is either defective or a wire came loose. Do you have any suggestions for correcting this and also relieving the pressure in the group? I tried opening the steam and hot water valves, but the portafilter is still locked tight – I think still pressurized with the blank in place. I’m an engineer so I’m not opposed to opening this up and even replacing a valve, but I also don’t want to void my warranty.

I just received my Mara X and set it up this morning. As it was filling the boiler for the first time, there was a constant stream of water coming from the group head that amounted to about between a cup and a pint. I thought that was unusual.

The lever needs to be full in the down position. We had one customer in the last batch who did not bring the lever all the way down.

During heat up there was a drip from the group that I know is normal. When I pulled the first shot and shut down the pump, nothing came out of the 3-way discharge into the drip tray and the flow kept trickling as the pressure declined.

Again, the lever needs to come full down and vertical.

If the lever is not brought all the way down, there will be no discharge.

In addition, I can’t remove the portafilter, I believe because the group with the blank is still under 10bar pressure. My thinking is that the 3-way solenoid valve is either defective or a wire came loose.

This machine does not have a 3 way solenoid valve. It has a manual valve on the grouphead.

The how water and steam wands and valves really do not affect the pressure in the grouphead. Again, please bring the lever all the way down vertically to the front panel. If it still does not work, please email us or call us.

For a simple, walk up E61 espresso machine with less fuss on flushing an overheated grouphead, the Lelit Mara X espresso machine is the better choice.  The HX mode allows more power for steaming but does require a cooling flush.

As for the PID version, the overall body, frame, and water reservoir design is older. The PID does allow programming of temperature of the boiler, but not necessarily of the thermosyphon loop like the X mode in the Mara X. It can be a tough decision, but the Mara X is typically better if only making one or two espresso, cappuccino or latte.

This following is the recommendation by Lelit who has hired a water specialist recently:

pH 6.5-8, alkalinity of 40-70 ppm CaCO3 and

a total hardness of 60-120 ppm CaCO3, and

      water free of chlorine and

      chlorides below 50 ppm.

Please note they stated that a film can still develop on the PID sensor which can result in an overheat situation. However, as of the time of this writing, this is the formula most desired.

It doesn't look like there's any kind of purposeful opening in the seam that would lead me to believe it was designed for water flow - it's just pouring out the seam in the drip tray. volume wise, I'd guess it's several times what comes out of the spout at the end, because it's more or less a continuous stream while I'm pulling the shot. Just wondering if I need to replace a gasket or tighten something up.

The relief spout on the grouphead at the end of the espresso extraction. The OPV and vacuum bleeder valve allow steam and water vapor to exit into the drip tray during warm up, during an espresso extraction and even while the machine is sitting idle. This is all normal.

What is not normal is when the pump is constantly refilling the boiler and the excess water is coming out of this spout behind the lower front wall. This usually occurs when the water is too pure.

A If you're starting from completely distilled water and know *exactly* what you're putting in, I don't know why you'd need the filter. The point of the filter is to help keep limescale agents and mineral from the water - if you're measuring for a precise mineral level, all the filter will do is slightly lower the concentration to a level below what you designed it for (assuming whatever recipe you're using is designed to be used in Espresso machines without a built-in filter). If you wanted to check, you could always get a TDS tool or some hardness filters and check the water in the tank and again after it goes through the group head - that will give you a rough idea of the impact of the tank filter.

However, I forgot to reacharge the resin filter until the monthly maintenance and now the machine won't heat. A Yikes, one month. Is your water extremely hard? I doubt a one month lapse would cause this problem. You should contact support.
A Is the water tank seated correctly? The tank switch may not be activated. That could be the reason don’t think that one month of use would build lime scale that badly. The filter only needs to be recharged like every three months.
A Thank you for your replies. I inspected the switch and verified that it activates when the tank is seated. To provide more context, the lights indicate the machine is in the heating state. The temperature pilot light is flashing, the water pilot light is on, and the power button light is on.
    212. Hello! I got in on the pre order for the MaraX and can’t wait for it to arrive. This will be my first espresso machine so I’m trying to learn as much as I can before it arrives. I have a question regarding the included water filter. With that installed is filtered water from the fridge clean enough or do I need to take further steps (other than frequent back flushing)to ensure minimal scaling? The water in Charlotte is fairly soft. I can get RO water from work and we have some water salts (calcium chloride, calcium sulphate, calcium carbonate, and magnesium sulfate), but have also looking at the third wave water espresso supplements on Amazon. If all of those are unnecessary with the filter than I will save my time, effort, and money. I’m hoping for this machine to be my one and done so I want to treat it right so that it lasts as long as possible! Sorry for the long email, thank you for your time!

A The filter along with the regular recommended maintenance should be enough for scale but others can answer in more detail. The biggest concern with filtering water too much for the machine is that it prevents the water sensor from activating if there are not enough dissolved salts to transmit current. Therefore you need water that has at least some mineral content for proper functioning.
A My understanding is that you should NOT use RO water or distilled water in the Mara X. I'm not sure about Third Wave Water--I've used it in my machine but typically just go with filtered tap water plus the Lelit water softener. You should be fine with the same approach.
A I also use filtered water from the fridge. That handles the chlorine in tap water. Agree with the other feedbank, RO water is not to be used in this machine. For the soft water filter, look at some youtube videos on recharging. I bought some hard water test strips to make sure that that the water softener 'filter' is still functioning after each charge. 8 months in and running strong. I understand these can last a long time if regularly recharged. I recharge, backflush/clean every 2 weeks. I'm running 4 cycles per day FWIW.
A I was in your shoes a few months ago - the MaraX is also my first espresso machine. I used a pretty standard Brita water filtration system and regularly charged (https://www.1st-line.com/technical-support/general-maintenance/water-softener-recharge-reservoir/) the included water softener about every 2 weeks. However, I got limescale buildup on the drain chamber within 2 months, pulling 1-3 shots a day. I would highly recommend buying a cheap TDS filter. My water filter system was taking water at about 240 TDS down to 180. Since then, I've diluted filtered water with RO water and have not had issues. Even if you don't end up using RO water, you can monitor how effective the included Lelit water softener is. Clivecoffee recommends about 35-85 (https://clivecoffee.com/blogs/learn/the-importance-of-water-and-your-espresso-machine) and Third Wave uses 150 TDS (https://thirdwavewater.com/pages/faq) - the main issue with using TDS as a metric is that it doesn't tell you *what* particles are in your water, since different minerals have different impacts on flavor. However, for the purposes of minimizing limescale buildup, it's very useful.

Self-repairs are mostly easy. We do not give performance data on machines like our competitors because there are too many variables, and for this reason, we do not want customers disputing their credit charges when their variables are different. These variables, include, but are no limited to ambient temp, pitcher temp, milk temp, the point of where the heating element is cycling on and off, X mode vs. steam priority mode, and actual voltage in the outlet (110 volt outlets can go as low as an actual 100 volts and as high as 124 volts). Another variable can be the style or technique used in steaming.

We believe the construction quality of very good, and so far since March 2020, this model has few issues. The cup warmer, like on most other machines, need a 2 hour warm up. Size is 6 1/4" depth by 8 1/2" width approximate.

The brew pressure is adjusted by grind fineness. You can also install the flow control device. Steam pressure ranges from 1.0 to just under 3.0 Bar during the different stages.

A Hi Francisco. I bought this machine back in November and have to say it’s been a game changer in terms of the coffee it produces. I upgraded from a Francis Francis x1 and the difference is night and day. In fact it’s becoming a problem having people drop by to sample the coffee as were supposed to be in lockdown. It’s a very nicely built solidly made machine and it’s HEAVY. It’s not huge and won’t take up too much counter space but there’s not a ton of room for cups especially larger ones for lattes. Group pressure isn’t adjustable however temperature is. There’s a three way switch discreetly positioned behind the drip tray. Steam pressure is adjustable by way of another switch bypassing the group head PID which will run the machine in “steam priority”. Most people don’t recommend this as it bypasses the whole point of the unique design of the machine. The only time I’ve had a problem with steam pressure is when I almost let the reservoir run out of water. The machine does use a lot of water. Hope this helps.

A This is from the filter page: " The Lelit In Tank Water Softener removes limescale causing agents and minerals, such as calcium and magnesium, from the water. This softener does NOT filter the water for chlorine, other mineral particulates, etc just as most water filters do not soften the water."
A You could argue that it is a filter because it removes calcium and magnesium! The packaging says "high quality water softener filter" and "high efficiency filter". Let's say it does both, but that doesn't answer your question. I, like you, never use tap water that has not been run through some type of filter - Brita or the $50 inline cartridge in the frig. IMO I would continue doing what you have been doing. Seems like a simple thing that might prevent issues down the road and extend the life of the machine.
      Answered by the admin

The purpose of the Lelit cartridge is simply for reduction of limescale causing minerals. One should use water with good taste, but NOT RO, distilled, nor purified as the machine will not work properly (espresso machine will constantly refill the boiler and water will be continuous be discharged from the front spout).

A No absolutely not. The only time draining the system is necessary or advisable is prior to shipping the unit, for repair or for a household move, etc. The best prevention for your concern is to recharge the water softener in the tank with each cleaning. In our house, that is 2x per month. I also got some water test strips to make sure that the water softener continues to function correctly. If properly cared for (regularly recharged), the water softener cartridge can last a long time.

It is normal for the steam pressure to go up to 2.75 on the steam pressure gauge. At 3 bar, the safety valve will open. This happens when the PID sensor on the top of the boiler has a film or scale build up. It may need to be cleaned with a wire brush. When a PID sensor fails, it usually does not heat at all.

Sounds like new burrs or a new grinder is needed.

A Get the blank basket (in the accessory box) and see if the pump pressure reaches 10. Basically perform a backflush. This should indicate if there's a pump pressure problem. If it does reach 10 bars with the blank basket then the pump is fine and it may be your grind size or dose. Does your dose match the basket i.e. 18 grams in the 14-18g basket? Hope this helps.
A So I also have a new Mara X from August of this year, replacing my Rancilio Miss Sylvia. My grinder is also a Rancilio Rocky that is about 13 years old. I am able to get 8-9 bars of pressure using the largest portafilter basket. I know you cannot compare grinder settings for the Rocky, but I have replaced the burrs at least twice over that time, so I think I am on the third set of burrs which is really important. When doing a backflush with the blank basket, I do get 10 bars consistently, so I know the pump is fine. It either is the grind issue, or the tamping pressure. Hope this helps....
A You definitely need to replace the burrs, but you might want to invest in a different grinder. I switched to Zero Niche, and can't go to near the finest grind.

A I am having a similar experience with the Mara X. When the weather was warmer, I only experienced this once or twice, but now that my kitchen is at 66 F rather than close to 80 F it happens basically every time the machine does a full warm up from room temp. I believed before that it was due to the steam boiler being too empty or too full, but this seems not to be the case. I am definitely not a fan of the steam pressure needle running all the way around to hit the brew needle and I'm not sure how to solve the issue yet without new firmware.
      Answered by the admin

Rich, for the future, we kindly as to please post as a new question as your issue is different because your machine has 2 PID sensors - the OP has a different machine and incorrectly posted on this machine. The issue of the Mara X overheating the steam boiler and the steam pressure gauge going over 3 bar (up to 3 bar is normal) is because limescale may have affected the steam PID sensor.

The Lelit Mara X espresso machine should be cooled down and unplugged from the electrical outlet. The PID sensor on top of the boiler will need to be disconnected from the brain unit so as to not twist the wires on the sensor. Twisting the wires will damage the PID sensor. Once removed, the sensor needs to be wire brushed.

If the problem continues, then the boiler may be overfilling with purified water as purified water will not allow the refill sensor to send 5 volts of electricity to the boiler wall.

A One trick, and albeit a temporary solution, if you're looking to reduce steam output is to insert a wooden toothpick into one of the tip's holes and snap it off. Then gradually turn on the steam to moisten the timber to cause it to expand slightly to ensure it doesn't come out. When you're ready to go back to two holes it's no bother to unscrew the tip and push out the tip from the other side using another pick.

    264. I just received my MaraX as a gift. I followed the directions getting it set up, water tank filled w/ filter attached (after submerging for >3min to get all the air out), and plugged it in. It starts to heat up as it's supposed to (water tank pilot light is lit & solid, Main on/off switch light is lit/solid) and I can hear it going. But then, it goes beyond the 4min 'max' cited by the manual and then both pilot lights & the main power light all start flashing. I've checked the tank, filter, tubing, and all their positioning which all looks good. The tank seems to drain well when triggered outside of the machine and I can't find a blockage anywhere else. Is there something I'm missing?

Sorry to hear about he issues. Unfortunately, after our discussion, it was determined that the machine was a 220 volt version shipped directly from Europe, and 220 volt models do not work with 110 volt outlets.

I am having issues with the MaraX which I just received, where once I engage the lever, most of the water does not drip through the portafilter/grouphead and instead seems to be dripping from the back into the drip tray directly. A Do you have any coffee in the portafilter? If so, you may have ground the coffee too fine and the machine is choking. That dripping into the drip tray is the over pressure valve. Once the pressure reaches a certain amount, that valve kicks in and lets water drip directly into the drip tray. Mine usually kicks in around 9.5bar of pressure when taking a shot of espresso. If your machine is reading this much pressure than this is normal and you will likely need to grind a bit coarser. If this is happening without any coffee or without the portafilter in the group head then that is a problem. Hopefully this helps!
A If you see the brew pressure gauge jump up past 10 bars, it could be the grind of espresso is too fine, there is too much in the portafilter, and/or it’s tamped too hard. Try adjusting these things (courser grind, less coffee, lighter tamp) and see if you get better extraction.
A Thank you so much for the responses. It appears this is an issue with my espresso brewing amateurism and not the machine. I tried grinding at a much coarser setting and was able to get output from the group-head. My pressure was going up to 10 before, and now it goes to 9.5.
    268. The vacuum breaker / bleeder valve on my Mara X will bleed a stream of water into the drip tray if brewing pressure goes over 10 bars. Is this normal behavior? I’ve had the machine for a month and using tap water that is carbon filtered along with the included Lelit water softener filter in the tank reservoir.

A There's a switch inside the machine that gets depressed when the water tank is seated. If you look in the machine, you should see a metal line in the hole where the water tank goes. If you don't - you'll have to open up the machine and re-seat the switch. Mine came loose during shipping. You can start reading about it here - https://www.home-barista.com/espresso-machines/lelit-marax-t61215-430.html#p737818

We are sorry to hear about this. We do bench test every espresso machine with water only because these shipping companies have been atrocious with concealed damages from inertial forces creates by their throwing of boxes and conveyor belts. These carriers have admitted they can not keep up with demand.

The good news is that there are no leaks. The bad news is one of two things happened in shipping.

      a) There is a plastic rectangular slim tab that inserts into a hole on the platform where the reservoir sits. Make sure the tab is there.

      b) Inside the hole, there is a metal piece that you should see. If not there, then this piece fell off in shipping. It is easy to put back on. However, the top cover as well as the body need to be removed. Lots of screws to be removed.  You will see the metal piece probably sitting on the floor of the unit and needs to be placed on the water tank chamber below the platform of the tank. When the water tank slim tab inserts into platform hole, it depresses the metal lever which then depresses the micro-switch. This sends the signal that the tank is in place.

Lastly, there is a magnetic float with a cap in the tube in the reservoir which can get stuck on older machines. We have never seen the cap come off in shipping. However, on the Bianca that has the same mechanism, if the water tank is not cleaned every 2-4 weeks with non-abrasive dish-wash soap and water, either dirt from dust or mold can affect the floats operation by sticking in the down position.

A Same thing happened to mine, take the back cover off, and reseat the sensor, it’s in the center at the bottom on the read side. It seems like it popped off the post in final shipping. There are photos here: https://www.home-barista.com/espresso-machines/lelit-marax-t61215-440.html
A I reseated the switch that came off and it fixed the problem! Thank you so much for the help! So excited to use my machine!

A I have my Mara X on a smart switch so is ready when I wake up in the morning, if it been on for more than 45 min and the steam pressure is around 1.2 Bars I do a small purge, and it will rise up to 1.5 very quickly while I get by beans ready. With that said I use mine on coffee mode, but my workflow has always been with all my previous espresso machines to steam milk first then pull the shot, I steam my milk a little higher than 140 degrees F, so its steel hot enough to my liking, when I’m done pulling the espresso shot.
A It should not take that long. Sometimes you have to turn the machine off and turn it back on. Also make sure you follow the instructions. You have to make sure you get the water into the boiler.
      Answered by the admin

The machine needs 24-30 minutes to warm up. In X mode, ALWAYS make your espresso first. The reason is that to maintain proper espresso temperature, it puts less emphasis on steam. Once you start extracting espresso, then the machine will kick in the heating element because it thinks it will steam next. Pull a second extraction and it keeps warming up. After the 1st or second espresso, then there should be enough steam. If there is NOT, the water may be too pure and the steam portion of the boiler may be overfilled with water - a common thing lately with many espresso machines.

If making huge lattes or entertaining more than 2 extractions back to back, then HX mode may be a better choice.

We suggest always using the water softener, which can be recharged minimum 2x/month. Instruction link on water softener page. The softener should be replaced every 6 months.

Please make sure there are other minerals because heat exchanger espresso machines need to send 5 volts of electricity through the water in the boiler to keep it properly filled. You can read more, especially the water part near the bottom.

Since we have many pre-orders and we will bench test every Mara X before shipping, it will be 1-5 days before to ship the pre-orders. Delivery time is based on distance. Please note that calls in our call center will create delays in shipping as the call center needs to check with the techs who have the physical orders, and these interruptions will only delay the focus of the techs to get these machines out the door. Any customer can call, but if delays occur, we have provided the reason already.

As soon as all pre-orders have been shipped, we will start to take pre-orders on the next wave of Mara X machines. This second wave is expected to arrive by mid-August.

There needs to be enough good TDS for the refill probe to determine the water level in the boiler. Calcium and magnesium needs to be minimized, and the included water softener removes these 2 bad minerals. The probe sends 5 volts of electricity through the water to the boiler wall. When this happens, it knows the internal boiler is filled. Hence, a little salt and potassium are best.

TDS stands for total dissolved solids typically found in water, and represents the total concentration of dissolved substances in water. ... Common inorganic salts that can be found in water include calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium, which are all cations, and carbonates, nitrates, bicarbonates, chlorides and sulfates, which are all considered anions.

The Mara X was designed for the true beginner AND simplicity in mind. The X mode makes it simple, but one would need to go to HX mode when entertaining for the added steam power in HX mode.

For those who want to experiment with different temperature programming, then the Mara PID PL62T would be a better choice.

Regarding the Mara X that I am strongly considering, a few questions that I do not see have been asked: What is the recommended maintenance routine (ie backflush every x shots, replace gasket annually, etc). With using the water softener, assume that you should not have to ever descale, correct? Also is it possible to put something under the feet so that it slides in and out from the granite counter to access the water tank? Seems like the water tank should always be removed when refilling and not use a pitcher or container to refill. Also, any sense of the level of sound when pulling a shot, is there a video that you have that will show this? Any idea of the life expectance of the new vibratory pump this unit is using? Thanks!

Sorry, we are unable to advise on putting anything under the machine to slide it out. Yes, it is best practice to refill the reservoir outside of every tank model espresso machine.

A I.e. why go for the HX that is trying to do what a dual boiler does?
      Answered by the admin

This is a very difficult question to answer because both can be close in performance.

Some customers need the more slim design in width of the Mara X. Some customers prefer the commercial E61 grouphead and commercial grade wands and valves. The Mara X also allows the ability to use the pressure profiling paddle (flow control device) made by Lelit.

Some customers prefer the programming of temperature through the LCC (PID) screen as well as the shot clock and preinfusion from the steam boiler.

From our testing at 1st-line, the quality in the cup can be achieved by both. We have run both machines through the mill, and we even have a difficult time which one to recommend as the quality in the cup performance is so close. Steaming performance is  better on the Elizabeth when compared to the X mode of the Mara, but the steaming performance is better on the Mara X in non-X mode when compared to the Elizabeth.

A I almost went for the Elizabeth until I read reviews of the Mara X, the engineering and thermodynamics of the design, benefits are simply no flushing, good temps, very quiet and excellent shots. The other main factor for me was maintenance and future availability of parts. I had a machine with a similar brew head as the Elizabeth (not Lelit) and removing the head gasket for cleaning or replacing was not easy, then a couple of years ago they stop supporting it. The maintenance of an e61 grup head gasket is very easy, 30 seconds to remove and clean or replace. Parts for e61 group head are plentiful since its used by many vendors. They are both great machines some like the visual PID, Mara X has no display for its PID, I also didn’t need a dual boiler since I’m the only espresso/coffee drinker In my home. The size of the Mara X boiler is also bigger than both of Elizabeth boilers together ( it’s the same size as both Bianca boilers together) and you can still steam milk and pull a shot at the same time if thats your workflow style. I use my Mara X on Brew head priority mode all the time.

A It's very friendly, you just pull the handle and go after it's heated. They removed the hoses from the tank, small bonus but nice for refilling. If you're at 1-2 drinks per day, an HX will do just fine even if you're doing milk drinks. Personal preference, the E61 group looks much better on the counter, not a coffee box, no LED display for the PID and they hid the switches so the modern controls are all hidden from view. There's no "temperature surfing" on this one or cooling flushes, Lelit figured that out with the PID. Comes with a great tamper, no reason to purchase one as well as a water softener that should last you several months at 1-2 drinks per day. Shut off the power save mode and buy a Wemo or other smart outlet and put it on a timer to come on in the morning. Good reviews online that are very detailed if you want specifics. 310. I've had my MaraX for a couple months now and it's developed a significant problem. After being idle for a period of time (seems to take at least 1 hour) it doesn't maintain temperature. The temperature light is solid, indicating the machine is ready. It seems to brew ok, but as soon as you use steam, pressure drops to zero and will remain there until the machine is power cycled. After power cycling, the temperature will begin flashing immediately and you can hear the boiler heating. The makeshift remedy I have is to power cycle the machine before use if it's been idle for any period of time. This is obviously not ideal for a new machine

    328. Hello I recently received my Lelit Mara X and have been very happy so far! I noticed an issue recently, which is that when the machine heats up sometimes, it seems to be releasing pressure in an odd way. Sometimes a little steam and water will release into the drip tray from behind the panel above it, towards the bottom (the vertical panel behind the group head). And when this issue happens during a warm up phase, machine can't seem to build up any pressure. If I turn it off for a minute and back on that seems to resolve the leaky pipes and the pressure builds. It's very odd behavior and I'm not sure what to do about it.

A The machine is deliver in stand by mode, I disabled it here is the procedure from a reviewer from the UK: “The machine can either stay on full time or go into economy mode after 30 minutes. To switch between these, turn the machine off, lift the levetta (this is the correct name for the E61 lever) and turn the machine on. When the on button light starts flashing , the mode has been changed. Turn the machine back off, lower the levetta and run as usual. The machine is delivered with economy mode enabled.”

Yes, we have been selling the Lelit Flow Control Device for the E61 grouphead for about one year. Lelit has confirmed it will fit the Lelit Mara X espresso machine

A Thanks for the prompt response. I found it on the link provided on your answer, but the options are little bit confusing. The $262.26 option, looks like it includes the flow control kit (sku 1000185) and the wood paddle with screw, then optional items listed 4-9 looks like is part Of the $333.12 cost. Does the $333.12 kit includes everything on the list from 1-9? If this is the case then I wouldn’t need the Lelit PLA582W wood kit, I’m I correct? I already pre order the Mara X and the PLA58W kit, I would cancel the later if not needed.
