Features
Dual Boiler System
- EVO UPGRADE > Steam Capacity: 25% increase in size compared to the standard Peppina model.
- EVO UPGRADE > Steam Power: 25% increase in pressure with the capability to reach up to 1.6 bar.
- EVO UPGRADE > Water/Steam Pro-Balance: You have the ability to control the amount of water in the boiler. Less water allows for more steam capacity.
- Stainless steel, insulated: The boilers are made of stainless steel which is less susceptible to limescale. Typically stainless steel boilers do not retain their heat as well as copper or brass boilers. This machine compensates for that by being wrapped with insulation.
- Pull a shot & steam milk at the same time: Steam is always readily available. Therefore there is no wait time going from coffee to steam mode. It works well if entertaining a small group of people.
- Auto refill: A sensor in the boiler detects when the water in the boiler is low. This prevents burning out the heating element.
E61 Grouphead
- EVO UPGRADE > Flow Control: Preinstalled on the grouphead giving you the ability to customize your espresso shots on the fly!
- Constantly Heated: Hot water circulates from the boiler through the grouphead and back to keep the grouphead and your portafilter nice and hot. This keeps the grouphead at a constant, stable temperature compared to other groupheads that have a built-in heating element.
- ERGOLIFT Lever: A new look on the activation lever of the grouphead.
- Pressure Gauge: Measures the actual pressure readout at the grouphead level.
Multi-Function Aircraft Grade Touchscreen Display
- Alarms display: Any fault issues with the machine will notify you by displaying a red triangle and will stop the machine from operating until the issue is resolved. Any maintenance alarms you set will notify you by displaying a yellow triangle. The machine will still operate until you manually clear it.
- Maintenance planning: Set reminders for changing your water softener, cleaning, or maintenance cycle. Set by # shots pulled.
- Settings: Language, date, temperature format (°C > °F), water connection (reservoir > water line)
- Temperature/Pressure control: Adjust the coffee boiler temperature from 85 °C to 100 °C (185 °F to 212 °F) or the steam boiler pressure from 0.5 to 1.6 bar.
- Eco standby by mode: Set a time period of inactivity (in minutes) for when the machine will enter a standby mode to conserve energy.
- Counters: The machine keeps track of coffee shots pulled (resettable), the total lifetime coffee shots pulled, the amount of water passed through the machine, & # of maintenance cycles.
- Auto power on/off: You can set the machine to power on and off at certain times, like when you wake up or when you come home.
- Programmable preinfusion: Program both the initial pump start/stop time up to 25 seconds in 0.01 increments.
Steam / Hot Water Wand
- Joystick knobs: Quick action controls. Each knob locks in any direction for hands-free operation.
- Multi-directional wands: Allows for more movement and flexibility depending on the size of your pitcher or cup.
- 2-hole steam tip: Allows for a slow gradual build-up of microfoam. More steam tip holes mean faster frothing but also steam runs out quicker. 3-hole & 4-hole steam tips included. Choose which best fits your barista style.
Switchable Tank / Direct Water Line Connection
- Open top reservoir: Easy to clean. Easy to fill. However, to avoid spillage, we recommend removing the water tank when filling with water. Remember to use the OSCAR pack to soften your water (replacements available).
- Easy transition: After hooking up the water line hose (included) to your machine, all you need to do is change a setting in the touchscreen display. The water line hook-up is behind the drip tray, more convenient than underneath the machine. For direct connect water softening we recommend BWT.
Rotary Vane Pump
- Quiet operation: Rotary pumps are necessary for direct water line capable machines since vibration pumps cannot handle the incoming water pressure. The main benefit that you will experience is that they are a lot quieter.
- Adjustable: The adjustment screw is located underneath the water tank. A more convenient spot compared to other machines where you have to remove the body panel to access.

Notes
- The Peppina uses lead free components.
- Stainless steel boilers with lead free brass fittings.
- Lead free brass group.
- Lead free brass taps.
- Lead free brass filter holders.
- Effective Dec 6, 2024, Torre espresso machines can come with SSR Relays either from Panasonic or Carlo Gavazzi.
- The Torre Peppina EVO Premium Dual Boiler can be connected to a smart timer switch. However, you must turn off the timer on the menu screen.
- The steam boiler will always have some water to cover the heating elements just in case someone quickly tuns on the steam boiler. If you do not steam milk, you can set, through the front aircraft grade touch screen, the level of the water in the steam boiler to 20% which reduces the water in the steam boiler.
General Espresso Machine Notes/Warnings:
- Upon first use (tank/reservoir models): On the initial start-up (or after a long period of non-use), it is important to make sure the pump is removing water from the tank. When the machine is powered on, you will hear the pump running. After 5 seconds, squeeze the in-line hose in the tank (usually the longest hose, has a particle filter attached). if you hear a different sound, this means the pump is working correctly. If not, immediately power down the machine and contact us. For more information, visit this page General Manual Pump Priming.
- Electrical: To avoid electrical damage to this espresso machine which is not considered a manufacturer's defect, please acquire and install a single-outlet surge suppressor rated at 1080 joules or higher. Without the recommended surge suppressor, the espresso machine can be damaged at the power switch, the electronics, the heating element, the pressurstat, or the wiring inside. For more information, visit this page Power Protection.
- Water: To increase the useful life and not damage your espresso machine, please use softened water. Softened water is water without calcium and magnesium, but still has other minerals for espresso extraction. Do not use distilled, purified, or reverse osmosis water as these types of water create oxidation with the metals and cause the same damaging effects as limescale. For more information, visit this page Water Choice.
- Descaling: We do not recommend descaling unless there is an issue with the espresso machine. Too much descaling can eat away at the metals and gaskets inside an espresso machine. As a preventative measure, we recommend using softened water as explained in the bullet point above.
- Backflushing: This procedure of cleaning the grouphead will need to be performed from time to time. For more information, visit this page Espresso Machine Backflush – Why 50?

We have the Torre Peppina v1 and I'd like to install the water line. What size fittings do I need for the hose included? I have a suspicion that our plumber will not find a proper adapter at the local big box store. Thanks!

We suggest reading our commercial installation requirements because there are other requirements, as well.
I have a Torre Pep. I bought it in October 2024. It heats up the water to 100 or so degrees and then the breaker overloads. I have tried plugging it in to different outlets with the same results. Help!!

Thank you for bringing the machine in for service. As shown
in the picture of the E61 grouphead, there are probably leaks caused by water inside your machine that is causing the tripping of the GFI outlet. This can happen to any machine as little as two weeks.Soft water is very important. As indicated, please bring in your water and possibly a water test report when you pick up your machine in for repair.
Thank you, I just ordered 2 gaskets, but I'm looking for the OEM wood portafilter. The link provided has a black handle. Thank you!

I can't find a parts listing for a grouphead gasket for my Torre Peppina that I purchased from you in October 2023. The machine, BTW, has been fantastic. Could you please let me know how I might order a couple of these. Also, if a replacement bottomless portafilter is available, I'd like to order one. Thank you!

We have an aftermarket portafilter gasket that should be suitable for the Torre Peppina - the F15. You can find it here - https://www.1st-line.com/buy/faema-e-61-grouphead-gasket-8-mm-soft/ We also have an aftermarket bottomless portafilter that should be suitable for the Torre Peppina - here https://www.1st-line.com/buy/1st-line-3-cup-58mm-e61-bottomless-portafilter/
When I backflush my Peppina, the pressure goes up to 13 bar within 10 sec. Is it too high? Thought it should not exceed 10 bar.

There are two gauges (one on grouphead and one on display screen). Typically the over-pressure valve opens at 11 bar, and maximum 12. You may have scale build up on this valve which is not allowing it to open fully.
I dropped and scratched the bottomless portafilter handle of my Torre Peppina (fantastic machine, btw) while backflushing (yes, I'm an idiot). Is a replacement available? I don't see it listed on the parts page, which is "under construction." Thank you!

Please note there are two heating elements. We are unsure which one you are referring to.
According to Torre AND our translation, the tank has an independent sensor that has nothing to do with the heating elements or level/safety probe. So, when the water level in the tank is too low, the machine's programming gives you time to finish extracting your espresso from the coffee boiler.
However, if the water in the tank ends up during a steam boiler water level restore, then it stops immediately. In other words, if the steam boiler needs refilling and the machine is low on water in the reservoir, it will stop the machine's functions, even if extracting. we do reserve the right to correct this if our translation was incorrect.
Hi, just bought the machine and loving it so far! Quick question, with Flow Control knob -- what setting/position of the knob would be equivalent to "no flow control" (ie the default flow for E61 without the flow control?). I couldn't find anything specific to Torre machines on the topic, but according to some videos on flow control with other popular E61 machines, opening up Flow Control to the max would be equivalent to almost twice the flow rate for a Dual Boiler (1.5x for HX). Thank you.

Thank you for your purchase. Torre stated that is the same between full open on the flow control and the same machine without the flow control. On other machines, usually the pinhole on the gicleur is 1.5mm for flow control versus 1mm on those without. However, we will double check.
Answered by the adminThe following are the measurements on the Torre Peppina Evo Dual Boiler Espresso Machine:
Without Flow Control: 280ml in 20 seconds ( approx. +or- 5ml)
Complete with full open flow control: 285ml in 20 seconds (approx. + or- 5ml)
Please note that results can differ if machine is fully heated or cooled, build up of limescale in the thermsyphon tubes or group head, or a clogged dispersion screen and other external causes.
Answered by the adminMore information from the manufacturer
"The original Gicleur cannot be used with the flow control, because the hole in the flow control gicleur is larger, simply the adjustment rod always remains inside the gicleur even when the flow control is completely open, leaving a space for water very similar to what you have with the standard gicleur."
