Bianca Kit – Flow Control Assembly with Paddle and Holding Screw For Manual Brew Pressure Profiling
Please note that Lelit confirms this item fits the Lelit Mara. However, they can not confirm it fits E61 groupheads found on other machines. Lelit has confirmed that other machines can have a slightly different E61 grouphead. This item is considered a part, and not an accessory.
It is confirmed this paddle kit will not work on Vibiemme E61 groupheads due to the different structure of the top of their E61.
Please note the following to avoid damage to your grouphead:
From the top of your grouphead, the gicleur can be removed usually with an 8mm socket and socket wrench. Upon installation, needle nose pliers can be used to start the installation of the new gicleur. Otherwise, place a little white masking tape on the inside of the 8mm socket to hold the gicleur in place.
WARNING!!!! Upon installation, only hand tighten the gicleur. If you use a socket wrench, there is a 99% likelihood that the gicleur will break inside the grouphead and can be difficult to remove.
If you have success or not on your E61, please write your review to make other customers aware. In your review please note your machine manufacturer and model.

I bought this kit along with the ECM Mushroom upper sleeve assembly for my Izzo Alex Duetto IV+. I needed the ECM part as my machine had the one-piece stainless steel mushroom on top of the group. The assembly was straight forward and the staff at 1st-Line was incredibly helpful with any questions I had. Now the fun part…experimenting with pressure profiling. Thanks 1st-Line!

Installed it on my Mara X today, works like a charm, no dripping when valve is close. Did install the included pre-infusion spring, holder and removed the drain spring and cam ( lowest on the E61 brew head) as recommended by 1st Line-Equipments and Lelit. Now to start new shot recipes with flow profiling.

This kit worked perfectly for me. I had never opened up the internals of my machine but the video at the top of the page was very easy to follow and took me less than an hour. Note that my machine was plumbed in and I originally had my line pressure set too low, so my flow rate was too low. Jim quickly helped me diagnose the issue and when I set the line pressure to 40 psi (just under 3 bar), my flow rate was perfectly in line with other users’ reports of their Bianca (6.4 ml/second).

Purchased this to install flow control on a ECM Classika.
Prefer Lelit’s approach to flow control over ECM/Profitec.
I cannot get it to work with my Classika.
The needle valve appears to work inside the ECM sleeve. I tested this by trying to blow air through the sleeve with the needle valve fully closed, it is air tight. When the needle valve is opened, you can blow a small amount of air through the ECM sleeve adapter. Although, when installed on the machine and the needle valve is fully closed, water continues to pour out of the group head as normal.
It does not appear to make any difference whether the valve is opened or closed.
Super bummed.

Installed this setup on my Rocket Giotto Evoluzione and it works perfectly as advertised. This kit is well designed and packaged. I have not installed the spring/guide in the lower part of the group yet; not sure if I will. I read a thread at Home-Barista.com in which several users asked if this worked on Rocket espresso machines. I never saw a response to their queries. After some digging I found that someone had success with their Rocket Cellini, which is essentially the same machine. If you dare to make this evolutionary modification to your espresso machine, I highly recommend you watch the Youtube video by Dave Corbey titled “Lelit flow valve install – ACS Minima” as it was extremely helpful both for paddle valve assembly installation as well as initial adjustment of the needle valve; especially for the closed position. His is an extremely well considered instructional video with great tips. One nice feature of the Rocket is the ability to adjust boiler pressure under the right side of the machine by loosening a couple of nuts and turning a screw. While I did not need to make this adjustment after installing the new paddle valve, should you need to, it does allow you to adjust the upper limit for flow pressure for the entire paddle range sweep.
