E61 Grouphead Flow Control Kit

WARNING! Please note that we are not responsible for any damage before, during, or after installation. Damages can include, but not limited to
a) over-tightening the gauge into the grouphead (causing the gauge thread to break and threading broken inside the grouphead),
b) breaking of gaskets and o-rings,
c) scratches on mushroom,
d) over-tightening of gicleur, and/or
e) limescale build up.
We cannot guarantee this will fit every E61 grouphead.
E61 Grouphead Flow Control Device with Pressure Gauge
Installs and works on most E61 groupheads. We have installed this flow control kit on Rocket Appartamento and TCA espresso machines with E61 groupheads. Hence, we assume they work for the other Rocket models with an E61 grouphead.

Hello and sorry for the delay in responding to your question. We believe that the mushroom is made of a combination of plated brass (top) and stainless steel (bottom), but have not been able to confirm this with the manufacturer. While we believe it should work, this assembly has not been tested with the ACS Vesuvius.

Hi All, hope all is well. My valve for the flow control is not behaving properly, at 8 o clock it opens up to 7 bars which gives me very very little room to play with. My setting is as follows: valve to be fully shut at 9'o clock and fully opened at 1' o clock (counter clockwise) I am beginning to thing the tension on the spring that it came with is not where it needs to be. If I were to replace the spring where would we buy the springs from ? Any thoughts please ? much appreciated!

Please run a descaler through the grouphead and allow to sit overnight. The chance of a bad spring is not likely at all. Build up with interfere with the gicleur and needle portion of the valve.
A Mir, I am having the same issue. Were you able to solve the problem with the suggested fix? If not, how did you fix the issue?
Does this work with the profitec pro 700? Or would you suggest a different flow control kit ? If so which one?

The grouphead gauge measures resistance in the portafilter. It will not register if there is no backpressure created with a portafilter. You can test with a blind filter. If still an issue with the blind filter, either that portion of the grouphead is blocked or a particle entered the gauge and blocked it.

Sorry, we will have a flow control next year for the VBM. The VBM requires a special type of flow control than can work with the special mushroom.

It should work last we checked. The gauge on the Minima can be left on the grouphead, and the one in the kit can be kept as a spare.
Does the paddle turn 270 degree (like the Lelit Bianca which is less than 360 degree) or we have to turn more than a turn to fully open and close the flow ?

This flow control turns more than one full revolution, but it loses control at some point in its cycle.

Keep the machine free of scale buildup to avoid issues. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee a fitment on the Quickmill Vetrano as we do not sell Quickmill espresso machines at this point in time.
