Bianca-fy your espresso! Learn more below! This kit is known to work on the Bianca, Mara line of espresso machines, and the Caffeum Perfectus Minima by ACS.

Note: All wood is natural and there will be variations in the color and finish.

WARNING! Please note that we are not responsible for any damage before, during, or after installation.  Damages can include, but not limited to

  1. over-tightening the gauge into the grouphead (causing the gauge thread to break and threading broken inside the grouphead),
  2. breaking of gaskets and o-rings,
  3. scratches on the mushroom,
  4. over-tightening of gicleur, and/or
  5. limescale build-up.

Bianca Kit – Flow Control Assembly with Paddle and Holding Screw For Manual Brew Pressure Profiling

Please note that Lelit confirms this item fits the Lelit Mara. However, they can not confirm it fits E61 groupheads found on other machines. Lelit has confirmed that other machines can have a slightly different E61 grouphead. This item is considered a part, and not an accessory.

It is confirmed this paddle kit will not work on Vibiemme E61 groupheads due to the different structure of the top of their E61.

Please note the following to avoid damage to your grouphead:

From the top of your grouphead, the gicleur can be removed usually with an 8mm socket and socket wrench. Upon installation, needle nose pliers can be used to start the installation of the new gicleur. Otherwise, place a little white masking tape on the inside of the 8mm socket to hold the gicleur in place.

WARNING!!!! Upon installation, only hand tighten the gicleur. If you use a socket wrench, there is a 99% likelihood that the gicleur will break inside the grouphead and can be difficult to remove.

If you have success or not on your E61, please write your review to make other customers aware. In your review please note your machine manufacturer and model.

What is the difference between this flow control kit and the Lelit PLA2206 Dark Walnut Flow Control Kit? Why is this one so much more expensive? What about this other one you recommend for the Rocket machines? E61 Grouphead Flow Control Device I have a Rocket Cincuantotto and want a good flow control kit. I get the impression the Lelit one is better, but I might be mistaken. I do like the wood paddle in comparison to the little black knob on the E61 flow control kit.

Answered by the admin This is a kit made by Lelit as before they decided not to make a kit but sell all the parts individually. Sorry, compatibility with Rocket Cinqcuantotto machines is not something we know off the top of our head. This is something that will take time as the machine has to be pulled down, a flow kit installed, and then tested. If it does not work, then we need to move on to the next flow control device. Unfortunately, we do not have technician standing around doing nothing as they take years to train and get caught up in repairs because there is a lack of technicians in our industry. Hence, we are very sorry that we will not have an answer in the near future.

Sorry that you are having a difficult time understanding the build to order. It is set up so customers can decide what they need and do not need.

The first price, which is crossed out, is the total if purchased separately. The second price on top is starting selling price WITHOUT any options selected. The 3rd or bottom price is the price with any options selected.

Although we can confirm a fitment to Bezzera E61 groupheads, we can not guarantee it. Unfortunately, there could be variations on E61 groupheads from Bezzera that we may not be aware of, or their E61 design may change in the future (and we will never remember to come back here and update the info).

    26. I recently purchased this kit for my Mara. As of yet I have not been able to regulate pressure. When the paddle is fully open, to the right, I get 10 bar pressure. Just off of the seat with the paddle to the left. Maybe an 1/8 inch or 3/16 of an inch of rotation, it will increase more slowly but still goes to about 9 1/2 bar. I have taken it apart and put it back together a few times with no change in function. I have used every spring combination in the bottom section of the group head. I have also changed my grind setting considerably with no real change in function other than taking longer to pour a target weight. Also I have watched every video I can find about this topic.

Please only have one Bianca-designated spring in the bottom portion of the grouphead. We assume you are looking at the grouphead pressure gauge and NOT the brew pressure gauge on the front panel. Lastly, you may need to coarsen your grind.

    28. I mounted the Lelit Grouphead Flow Control Assembly on my Rocket R60V. Installation was easy but I am unable to fully close the needle valve. I can lower the needle by turning the handle clockwise, thereby reducing the flow until the needle's surrounding shaft touches the gicleur. I know this because when I first lowered the needle that far, the shaft would loosen the gicleur when turning it anti clockwise. However, even if fully closed, there is still water passing through the grouphead. The alternate mushroom (ECM ECMGC229901133) looks the same as the one used in the R60V, so I dont't think that that is the way to go for me. Is there any way you cant think of that would allow me to lower the needle farer without it's surrounding shaft touching the gicleur? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The gicleur may not be tight enough. But, too tight, and it will split into two. The needle needs to make full contact to make full closure. In some cases, there the mushroom sits the gicleur a little deeper, then full closure is not possible and a new mushroom is needed. However, this latter part does not seem to be your case.

A I already sticked the gicleur with Microtec’s TEC-100, but to no avail. Anyway, thanks for answering!

We suggest not changing the OPV at this time as the pump is newly designed, and we are unsure if increasing the OPV resistance will damage the pump.

A Not need to adjust the OPV, I installed it on the Mara X and there’s enough pressure and water flow to do profiling and keep the brew head pressure under 10 bars, preferably 9 bars. If I open the valve completely I get 11 bars with a blank basket in the portafilter. I did installed the pre infusion spring that comes with the kit, and removed the drain valve spring and cam from the Mara X bottom section of the brew head, as the Bianca doesn’t have it, and recommended by 1st Line-Equipments.

Sorry, we are unable confirm for all Izzo machines as they have changed the mushroom over the years.  If your machine has a stainless steel mushroom or one piece mushroom, then a new mushroom will most likely be needed.

A I wanted to confirm that the upgrade does indeed work with the Alex Duetto II. The Faema E61 g Mushroom does not work with the Alex, as the internal diameter of the mushroom has a diameter that is smaller than the spring of the OEM mushroom. If you want to replace the stock mushroom, Chriscoffee does sell replacements. Otherwise I'm enjoying this upgrade on my Alex Duetto II!

Sorry, we can not guarantee it 100% as we do not carry this machine. It should work, but there could be some nuances like a new mushroom needed.

    92. I have installed this kit on a Profitec 700. My Profitec has the old two piece mushroom so the Lelit kit fits like a glove. I am having a terrible time trying to control the pressure with the paddle. From what I have read online the water debit for the Lelit Bianca is about 6.3ml/s in the fully opened position. On the Profitec with the Lelit kit I am getting about 9.2ml/s in the fully open position and no flow in the fully close position. I also have set the pump pressure at 10bars and the OPV at 11bars. In every video I have watched the pressure ramp up seems to be relatively slow even with the paddle fully opened. This allows the user to slow the flow to 2, 3 or 4 bars for several seconds by moving the paddle clockwise. In my case even with the paddle opened only 20% the ramp up is almost instant giving me no chance whatsoever to have any control. The only way to stop it is to fully close the paddle, but then it drops to 0bars. I have been experimenting with all types of grind settings, but nothing works. In short the group gauge behaves just like if I had a blind disk on the portafilter. I would really appreciate if you could contact me via my email with some suggestions. Thx in advance.

Thanks for the inquiry. Two things... please try to coarsen your grind. The brew gauge is showing the resistance created by the ground espresso coffee in the filter basket. When the grinder is finer than it should be, we see the ramp up pressure higher. Second, lift the lever to the pre-infusion stage to release any excess pressure in the coffee boiler. Either one solution separately or both together can improve your situation.

The other issue may be if there are gicleurs in the tubes from the coffee boiler to grouphead. The hole may be too large or there may be no gicleurs at all. Lastly, if there is a pre-heat of the incoming water to the coffee boiler by the steam boiler, this may be adding excess pressure in the coffee boiler. We are unsure on this latter point as we do not sell the Profitec line at this time.

A The Profitec 700 does not have any pre-heating of the incoming water and the only gicleur is the one provided with the Lelit flow kit. I checked it and it is definitely not lose. There are no other gicleurs in the pipes or anywhere else. Something is definitely not right. I certainly hope I didn't throw $325 dollars away.
A I have to add that the flow I am now getting on the Profitec 700 with the pressure set at 10bars per Lelit and other Bianca users is 10ml/s instead of 6.3ml/s. The only way for me to get 6.3ml/s is with the paddle set in an almost close position(less than .5 inches travel between a flow of 6.3ml/s to fully close 0ml/s. This makes the operation of flow profiling impossible. I am convinced that I got a defective Lelit Flow Control Kit. Maybe the machining of the needle and/or gicleur was wrong or something. I really don't know, but something is definitely wrong. Is there a better way to get technical support than this Q & A form? Thx.
    94. I recently bought the flow kit from you and installed it in a Profitec 700. My Profitec has the old two piece mushroom so the Lelit kit fits like a glove. The brew pressure is set at 9bar and the OPV is set at 11bar. I have the paddle set to fully close the flow on the left almost touching the machine case. When the paddle is fully open(all the way to the right) I get a water debit of 9.3ml/s. This is more than what the Bianca users are getting(6.3mls). I don't know if that is the main reason, but I am having a terrible time trying to control the flow during a shot. In every single video I have seen of the Bianca even with the paddle fully opened the pressure ramp up on the group gauge is pretty slow. This makes it possible to stop the pressure at 2 bars for example during preinfusion. In my Profitec the ramp up is way too fast which makes it impossible to have any control. Even with the paddle opened 10% the ramp up is almost instantaneous. With this behavior it is impossible to have any profile control. Any idea what could be the problem? Thx in advance.
