Lelit 9700052 Vacuum Breaker Valve

This 1/8″ vacuum breaker valve (9700052) is for the Lelit Bianca (PL162T) and Mara X (PL62X) espresso machine models.

This vacuum breaker valve is also used for Elizabeth V3 espresso machines with serial number 265331 and higher.  Please check your machine to determine the type of valve used.  For earlier versions of the Elizabeth, those with serial number 265330 and earlier, please use SKU MC9700015.

Please check your machine before ordering as there are 2 sizes.

Wrench typically needed 18mm. Take out from bottom nut, not the top.

This vacuum breaker valve requires a 17mm socket wrench.

    I bought my Mara X back in June 2020 from you guys, recently it started to make this hissing sound that won't ever stop into the drip tray. I opened and realized that it comes from this part. According to the diagram the part that apparently I need is the 9700050, but when I search for that part the one that comes up is the 9700052(from the diagram). It seems that the diagrams numbers and the search results does not match. Since there is no refund, tech support, instruction nor warranty, I want to make sure that the part that I order is the correct one. I need the vacuum breaker valve.

    Good morning.  I reviewed the online drawings for the Lelit Mara X and found that they show an earlier and sometimes still used design for the boiler safety valve (9700050) that is very similar to the vacuum breaker valve (9700052).

    Yes.  The vacuum breaker for the Bianca is part number 9700052.  The flexible tubing you asked about is part number MC005, which is currently out of stock.  
    3. I ordered the vacuum valve and I received the one with a shorter thread that screws into the boiler. There is no option to chose which one when ordering even thought you specify there are two options. My question is whether I can use either one on my Lelit Bianca V2 and how is it possible to order the one with the barbs and longer thread as the site does not offer that option.

    Sorry, there is no option because we ship what is available. Otherwise, we would have 2 different part numbers. Usually, there is only one available as we usually order more when we run out of stock. As per our web site, parts can change without any notification.
    4. Hi, I purchased a Lelit Mara X from you in December. Last week I began hearing a quiet pressure pop out of the espresso machine every hour or so after it warmed up. Today I noticed that it's happening every 5 minutes or so and removed the top panel to investigate. I found that the pop I'm hearing is a short release of steam from the anti-vacuum valve (part number 9700052). I have always used the Lelit water softener (in line filter thing in the water reservoir), replaced whenever the hardness of the group head output water increases above about 50 ppm (nearest I can guess using test strips), so scale buildup shouldn't be the issue. My water isn't super hard to begin with - around 150 ppm. I'm pretty sure the valve failure should be handled under warranty, right? I have the 17mm socket wrench and teflon tape to be able to replace the defective valve myself without sending the espresso machine in. How do we handle the replacement?

    The filter minimized issues, but there is no guarantee of complete removal of magnesium and calcium from the water - it depends upon water hardness.

    We have a bulletin on overheating. It is not from the bleeder valve as you mentioned. If it was the bleeder valve, there would be a constant hissing sound to the front spout or back to the water reservoir on the newer models. It is the safety valve opening and closing because of the overheat situation. This is usually build up on the PID sensors - coffee or steam or both.
    A In response, I am watching the valves at the top of the boiler. I hear a small pop, I see water/steam release from the valve more toward the right front (which is identified as the anti-vaccum valve on your parts diagram), the safety valve is dry. I can send picture. Does this mean that the part won't be replaced under warranty?

    Sorry, the manufacturer does not provide measurements to us.  In addition, we refrain from taking measurements because there have been tmes when measurements change and we are not notified, and then we get blamed by customers because we did not update the Q&A section. Again, we are very sorry about this.
    6. Hi First Line. I have a Lelit Bianca from the August 2018 pre-orders. It looks like I may have been shipped a prototype. Heard a hiss coming from my steam boiler today and noticed that the anti vacuum valve is one that I've never seen before. It looks like it's an ULKA part. There is no center stem that can rise and fall with pressure, it's not this part listed, and there is no tube coming off of it to run back to the drain valve. Can you let me know what that original part is? I also see a blocked tube hanging inside the machine, which looks like it could reach this new anti-vacuum valve. Just want to make sure if I buy this it's the right part and I can hook up that tube down to the drip tray. Thank you.

    There was only one prototype Bianca in the USA, and we still have it working. There is a safety valve and a vacuum breaker valve on top of the steam boiler. One has an ULKA elbow. On a few units in this first batch, this part has melted. This was corrected after the second batch of Bianca espresso machines in 2018.

    If the elbow melted, remove the elbow from the hose and vacuum valve. On current machines, the hose is connected straight into the bleeder valve.

    It is best to email us pictures if you need further assistance.
