Wega W..517 1/4" Threaded Bleeder / Vacuum Breaker Valve

This bleeder/vacuum breaker valve is used to deplete the vacuum pressure in the espresso machine’s boiler once it cools down.

This bleeder valve for an espresso machine has 2 o-rings where the seal is made – this is helpful in preventing failure from limescale build up. In addition, the weight on the plunger is heavier than that of the standard vacuum breaker/bleeder valves found on most espresso machines.

The thread is 1/4 inches and the metal portion is made of brass. The thread should be given an application of 1-2 rounds of thread seal tape.  It is also recommended that you use a gasket with this part, such as C..377 PTFE Gasket.

Make sure to change this part only when the unit has been completely cooled!
