Features
Heat Exchange System
- Stainless steel, insulated: The boiler is made of stainless steel less susceptible to limescale. Typically stainless steel boilers do not retain their heat as well as copper or brass boilers. This machine compensates for that by being wrapped with insulation.
- Pull a shot & steam milk at the same time: Steam is always readily available. Therefore there is no wait time going from coffee to steam mode.
E61 Grouphead
- Constantly heated: Hot water circulates from the heat exchanger through the grouphead and back to keep the grouphead and your portafilter nice and hot. This keeps the grouphead at a constant, stable temperature compared to other groupheads that have a built-in heating element.
Switchable Tank/Direct Water Connection
- Easy to clean water tank: Open-top style water reservoir makes it easier to clean the inside.
- Easy transition: After hooking up the water line (included) to your machine, all you need to do is activate a switch. The switch is underneath the machine on the left side.
PID Controls
- Shot timer: Need we say more?
- Programmable Pre-Infusion: Set the pre-infusion period from 0 – 30 seconds.
- Boiler Temperature: Set the temperature anywhere from 80° to 135 °C.
Steam/Hot Water Wand
- Multi-directional: Allows for more movement and flexibility.
- Joystick controls: Locks in any direction both steam and hot water.
- Rubber grip: There are rubber grips on the steam wand and hot water wand to prevent you from burning yourself.
Rotary Vane Pump
- Quiet operation: Rotary pumps are necessary for direct connect capable machines since vibration pumps cannot handle the incoming water pressure. The main benefit that you will experience is that they are a lot quieter.
Parts and Accessories Included
- Portafilters: 1 dual spout and single spout Portafilter. 58mm diameter. The handle matches the joystick knobs and the E61 grouphead lever.
- Filter Baskets: 1-cup filter basket which holds approximately 7 grams. 2-cup filter basket which holds approximately 14 grams. Rubber blind insert, that you use with the 2 cup filter basket for backflushing.
- Steam Tips: 3 hole tip comes pre-installed on the machine. Also includes a 2-hole (for longer steaming power) and 4-hole (for easier frothing).
- Cleaning Brush: For cleaning underneath the grouphead. The other end of the brush has a built-in scoop used for backflushing detergent.
- Tamper: A solid stainless steel 58mm tamper. One less accessory you will need to buy.
- Sticker: Double-sided arrow sticker.
- Gasket: For connecting the hose to the direct water line.

Notes
General Espresso Machine Notes/Warnings:
- Upon first use (tank/reservoir models): On the initial start-up (or after a long period of non-use), it is important to make sure the pump is removing water from the tank. When the machine is powered on, you will hear the pump running. After 5 seconds, squeeze the in-line hose in the tank (usually the longest hose, has a particle filter attached). if you hear a different sound, this means the pump is working correctly. If not, immediately power down the machine and contact us. For more information, visit this page General Manual Pump Priming.
- Electrical: To avoid electrical damage to this espresso machine which is not considered a manufacturer's defect, please acquire and install a single-outlet surge suppressor rated at 1080 joules or higher. Without the recommended surge suppressor, the espresso machine can be damaged at the power switch, the electronics, the heating element, the pressurstat, or the wiring inside. For more information, visit this page Power Protection.
- Water: To increase the useful life and not damage your espresso machine, please use softened water. Softened water is water without calcium and magnesium, but still has other minerals for espresso extraction. Do not use distilled, purified, or reverse osmosis water as these types of water create oxidation with the metals and cause the same damaging effects as limescale. For more information, visit this page Water Choice.
- Descaling: We do not recommend descaling unless there is an issue with the espresso machine. Too much descaling can eat away at the metals and gaskets inside an espresso machine. As a preventative measure, we recommend using softened water as explained in the bullet point above.
- Backflushing: This procedure of cleaning the grouphead will need to be performed from time to time. For more information, visit this page Espresso Machine Backflush – Why 50?

- Please use the parts diagrams provided below to determine the part(s) you need. Then use our search box above to find the part(s) on our website.
Note: These parts diagrams are provided by the manufacturers. We list them on our site for informational purposes only. We do not stock every single part listed nor can we guarantee that every part is available to order. - If uncertain, please go to the equipment model or part product page. Then use the Q&A tab found on that web page to ask your question.
- Lastly, and only if the first 2 options were exhausted, please use our parts inquiry page.
- Our call center does not have the training to handle parts inquiries for over 60,000 different parts items. Asking any questions regarding parts will more than likely result in you being referred to the above steps.
- Please note also that all parts purchases are non-returnable or refundable and do not include technical support, instructions, or warranties as the purchase price of any part does not cover the cost of technical support. Technical support is available for repairing equipment in our shop.
- Sorry, we will only special order a part for a model we carry AND was purchased through our supply chain.
- Since we are unaware of the mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing expertise of a parts buyer or the tools owned by a parts buyer, we are never able to advise if a self-repair can be performed.
