Overview
Key Design and Aesthetics
-
- Vintage-Inspired Bodywork: Features striking retro paneling crafted from polished stainless steel.
- Premium Wood Accents: Adorned with natural wood levers and portafilter handles for a luxury finish.
- Graphic Touch Display: Sleek, color touchscreen provides a clear interface for system programming.
Performance and Engineering
-
- Hybrid Manual Lever Control: The lever acts as a throttle for a volumetric pump, giving you a smooth, manual 0 to 11 bar pressure ramp-up in real time.
- Fully Saturated Group Head: Helps eliminate temperature drift by locking the group head directly into the brew boiler loop.
- Stainless Steel Dual Boilers: Massive 1.9L brew boiler (1200W) and 3.6L steam boiler (1400W) deliver continuous, concurrent brewing and heavy steaming without performance drops.
- Whisper-Quiet Operation: The advanced volumetric pump helps ensure extremely stable and silent pressure profiling.
Advanced Functionality
- Real-Time Profiling Graph: Watch your extraction curve draw itself live on the digital touch display as you pull the lever.
- Flexible Water Sources: Operates smoothly via a built-in 2.5L internal reservoir or a direct hard-plumbed line.
- 7-Day Auto On/Off: Program up to two heating schedules per day so the machine is fully warmed up when you wake up.
- Ergonomic Controls: Equipped with cool-touch, lever-actuated steam and hot water wands.

- Pump pressure gauge/manometer
Switchable between Tank/Direct Water Connection
- Operates hard/direct plumbed or pour over w/ 2.5 liter water reservoir
- Easy to fill / clean: Open top reservoir makes it easy to fill with water and also to clean by being able to reach deep inside. Also the orienation of the tank is on the top right side, as opposed to most other espresso machines, making it easier to access.
- Insulated PID controlled dual boilers
- Stainless Steel cup rail
- Auto on/off programming for saving electric
- Cool touch lever operated steam arm – lever on left side of machine
- Permanent magnet volumetric pump, precise and silent operation
- Stainless steel portafilters w/ precision baskets
- Polished stainless steel body

Notes
General Espresso Machine Notes/Warnings:
- Upon first use (tank/reservoir models): On the initial start-up (or after a long period of non-use), it is important to make sure the pump is removing water from the tank. When the machine is powered on, you will hear the pump running. After 5 seconds, squeeze the in-line hose in the tank (usually the longest hose, has a particle filter attached). if you hear a different sound, this means the pump is working correctly. If not, immediately power down the machine and contact us. For more information, visit this page General Manual Pump Priming.
- Electrical: To avoid electrical damage to this espresso machine which is not considered a manufacturer's defect, please acquire and install a single-outlet surge suppressor rated at 1080 joules or higher. Without the recommended surge suppressor, the espresso machine can be damaged at the power switch, the electronics, the heating element, the pressurstat, or the wiring inside. For more information, visit this page Power Protection.
- Water: To increase the useful life and not damage your espresso machine, please use softened water. Softened water is water without calcium and magnesium, but still has other minerals for espresso extraction. Do not use distilled, purified, or reverse osmosis water as these types of water create oxidation with the metals and cause the same damaging effects as limescale. For more information, visit this page Water Choice.
- Descaling: We do not recommend descaling unless there is an issue with the espresso machine. Too much descaling can eat away at the metals and gaskets inside an espresso machine. As a preventative measure, we recommend using softened water as explained in the bullet point above.
- Backflushing: This procedure of cleaning the grouphead will need to be performed from time to time. For more information, visit this page Espresso Machine Backflush – Why 50?

Parts Diagram
- Please use the parts diagrams provided below to determine the part(s) you need. Then use our search box above to find the part(s) on our website.
Note: These parts diagrams are provided by the manufacturers. We list them on our site for informational purposes only. We do not stock every single part listed nor can we guarantee that every part is available to order. - If uncertain, please go to the equipment model or part product page. Then use the Q&A tab found on that web page to ask your question.
- Lastly, and only if the first 2 options were exhausted, please use our parts inquiry page.
- Our call center does not have the training to handle parts inquiries for over 60,000 different parts items. Asking any questions regarding parts will more than likely result in you being referred to the above steps.
- Please note also that all parts purchases are non-returnable or refundable and do not include technical support, instructions, or warranties as the purchase price of any part does not cover the cost of technical support. Technical support is available for repairing equipment in our shop.
- Sorry, we will only special order a part for a model we carry AND was purchased through our supply chain.
- Since we are unaware of the mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing expertise of a parts buyer or the tools owned by a parts buyer, we are never able to advise if a self-repair can be performed.

If I use this machine only via the water reservoir, will it impact my ability to use the pressure profiling? Also, does this machine allow any automatic pressure profiling options like the R91 has?

Q If I use this machine only via the water reservoir, will it impact my ability to use the pressure...... Read more answer nowAsked by on November 2, 2024 11:06 amAnswered by the admin
The pressure profiling allows both tank or plumbed in use.
Answered by the adminSorry, we needed confirmation for the second portion of the question.
The operator can pull the lever to create the pressure profile from 1 bar up to 11 bars, depending on the angle of the lever, when you release the lever it has a natural movement to go back to the 0 bar position emulating a real lever.
This espresso machine is 100% manual. The pressure profile can not be saved. Hence, there are no automatic pressure profiling options to choose from saved memory.
