Antonio Nurri , with over 20 years of experience with prior manufacturers in the industry, has developed his own line of well designed espresso machines. We introduce the Nurri R-Type heat exchanger espresso machine. We first saw the R-Type prototype at HOST in Milan, Italy in October, 2023. We fell in love with its design right away!
The boiler is made of stainless steel which is less susceptible to limescale. Typically stainless steel boilers do not retain their heat as well as copper or brass boilers. This machine compensates for that by being wrapped with insulation. The boiler also has a drain valve on the right side, and the drain hose is hidden behind the front wall behind the drip tray.
The single gauge will show the resistance created by fineness of the coffee grind, the amount of coffee in the filter basket, and the tamping pressure.
Pumps will degrade in performance over time. Replacing a vibration pump will cost less than a rotary vane pump.
Open top style makes it easier to fill and clean when necessary. Always refill a reservoir outside of the machine. Clean the reservoir minimum once per week with dish-wash detergent and a good rinse.
Commercial-style wand that can accommodate any size steaming pitcher. The 2-hole tip allows for a slower gradual buildup of microfoam. The steam arm is cool to the touch allowing you to quickly move it around.

Sorry, at the time of this writing, there is no hot water dispenser due to making the machine compact as possible. There is an easy access boiler drain valve on the right side under the frame and a hose for draining on the front.
One can not set brew pressure on a vibration pump machine unless it has a flow control. And, it takes a vibration pump up to ~9 seconds to get to full pressure with the right grind fineness.
One can set the maximum brew pressure through the OPV a.k.a. over-pressure valve. This is what can be adjusted. If the OPV is set for 9 bars, but the grind is coarse, it may only go up to 6 bars. So, the resistance created by your coffee grind is part of the equation to create brew pressure.

On this machine, the brew temp is set by the steam pressurstat which is directly proportional to temperature. Unfortunately, there is no temp reading, and external factors, such as ambient temperature, actual line voltage, etc play a role in the output temperature at the grouphead. Even other machines with PID controls can be impacted as well by external factors.
