I saw that the long version MC216 has been discontinued. Would this short version MC216-41 be able to fit a Lelit Anna PL41QE? (Not TQE). I see from the other answer that replacing O rings won't solve the issue of the steam wand leaking steam, which is what I'm experiencing. It's not leaking enough for me to want to replace it with the newer Teflon version which would cost much more and require three additional parts. Would appreciate any thoughts on if this steam valve would perhaps work, even though it's likely meant more for TQE versions.

Unfortunately, you must replace this part with the version you have in your machine. The long version and short version are not interchangeable.
I bought this to deal with a steam wand leak. Followed your helpful instructions to get access inside the machine and removed the knob with the attached stem, however I was unable to separate the knob from the stem. I have attempted to swap the o-rings alone but that did not remediate the leaking. Any suggestions on removing the original stem ?

If it is, you can try pouring a couple drops of acetone or nail polish removal in the groove to loosen it. The best way would be to wiggle the knob off the stem. Clamp down the stem part and carefully try to wiggle the knob off. You could wrap some rubber bands around the knob to get a better grip.A The knob should be able to slide off with very little force. There is a flat spot on the stem and knob, which may have been rotated to far which means the knob may be unusable if the plastic is distorted. Another possibility is, it may just be caked up with lime scale. I would try soaking the whole assembly in hot water mixed with vinegar to loosen the scale. Then grip the stem with a pliers and try to loosen the knob by wiggling it and pulling it straight off not rotating the knob. You will have to use the new stem to stop the leak. It is the metal on the very end of the stem that makes the seal and stops the leak, the old stem end gets worn. The o-rings just stop the water from going around the stem and direct the water to go out the steam wand.
Hello. I am looking for the MC216-41 (short version) and the MC080. It says you are out of stock - I was just curious as to whether you anticipate having those parts? Thank you!

Sorry, it is always difficult to forecast supply and demand on parts which take up to 3 months to acquire.

My steam wand on my PL41 has been leaking for years and I just put up with it, until the point it was shooting water nearly as fast as I could fill the tank. This stem replacement was an easy and perfect fix for the brittle o-rings on the old one. The action feels so much better than before and I’m happy that such an easy and inexpensive solution did the trick (compared to replacing steam valve and solenoid, as many guides suggest)!
