This is why we state in our parts terms that parts can be slightly different as shown or pictured or described. Yes, but very difficult to get the wood handle off the portafilterts. Many times, one has to damage the handle portion to remove.

16-18 grams, but depending upon the coffee, you may be able to squeeze in 22 grams.

Hi,
The bottom of this portafilter tapers in a little more than other bottomless portafilters. We tried a Wega 3-Cup Filter Basket that we have and it does not fit.
Our 1st-line bottomless portafilter has a 3-cup filter basket. The bottom rim has been shaved up a little more to allow a 3-cup basket to fit. It sticks out beyond the bottom rim by a few millimeters.

Based on the coffee we used, it was about 21 grams maximum.

The inside diameter of the larger basket is about 58.5mm. A 58.5mm tamper base would work best. At the time of this writing, we have put the tamper we find suitable for the bottomless with the least amount of air space between the basket and tamper.

It’s big enough for 12 grams but after that it starts piling and the grounds start bouncing out so just be aware of that if you’re gonna make doubles.
