PRE-Millenium Edition Only: La Pavoni 52mm Bottomless Portafilter with Black Handle
This La Pavoni 52mm bottomless portafilter (for machines with a 49mm basket) is ONLY for the PRE-Millenium Edition of the La Pavoni Europiccola and Professional. Therefore, it does NOT FIT the Stradivari 8-Cup or 16-Cup lever machines.
The PRE-Millenium Edition espresso machines DO NOT have a sticker on the base that states “Millenium.” However, if your machine is a Millenium, the portafilter you need is on this page.
The bottomless allows you to see the extraction from the filter basket. However, please note that spraying of the espresso can occur. It is normal if your grind is not proper or if catching the grinds in the basket occurs.

We will ad a picture shortly. Sorry, we do not carry these in brass. A tamper slightly smaller than 52mm is needed. Please note this naked portafilter does NOT fit on machines with the small 49mm sized groupheads.

Current batch has spring clip for the basket, and the metal portion is brass with chrome plating.
What difference is there between this naked filter for the pre-millenium and the one which appears to have been manufactured by Pavoni? I see a slight price differential here on your website but other than that. . .

Sorry, we can not advise of any differences as we never sold those made by La Pavoni.
From my understanding the pre-millennium Europiccola portafilter is 49mm. Is this being measured differently somehow to get the 54mm that it advertises? Can you confirm this will fit a pre-millennium Europiccola? Also, is the basket included?

Sorry, there was an error which we corrected. This portafilter is 52mm which holds the 49mm baskets. We tested this portafilter for a good fit on the PRE-Millenium models.
The 2 cup basket is included.
