ECM V-Titan 64 Espresso Grinder

The ECM V-Titan 64 is ECM’s top of the line grinder. This grinder features titanium coated 64 mm flat burrs for increased longevity & efficiency. The stepless wormgear adjustment allows for very fine grind tuning. This allows for easy compatibility with any espresso machine and espresso blend. On demand grinding ensures your coffee is ground fresh every time. The electronic controls adjust the grinding time for single & double dosing.

Grinding adjustment

  • Stepless – Gives you access to an “infinite” number of grind settings. This allows you really fine tune your grind fineness of your coffee beans. The numbered dial underneath the hopper helps you remember your current grind setting easier.
  • Adjustment knob – Located in the rear of the machine just below the hopper. Turning the knob clockwise will make the grind finer. Turning counterclockwise will make the grind coarser.

Electronic controls / On demand grinding

  • Multiple dosing options – Press the dosing button once for a single dose. Press the dosing button quickly twice for a double dose. Hold the dosing button for a manual dose.
  • Time based grinding – You can adjust the the time for each automatic dose. You can make tiny adjustments by 0.1 second increments.
  • Dosing count – This helps keep track of usage. Displays the total count of automatic doses, not manual doses. Single doses will add 1 to the tonal count. Double doses will add 2 to the total count.

Grinding burrs

  • Flat burrs – Large size at 64 mm. The larger the size, the more of a grinding surface, resulting in faster production.
  • High rpm – Faster spinning rate at 1400 rpm. The higher the speed, the faster the production, which can increase efficiency and reduce wait times.
  • Sweeping fan – Helps push beans down to the burrs for a smooth operation.
  • Easy access – Remove the bean hopper & the set screw. There are 3 Allen key screws (~2.3 mm) that hold the upper holder in place. After removing the screws, turn the upper burr holder counter clockwise until the top assembly comes off. This will give you access to the burrs and the grinding chamber. The burrs themselves are held in with 3 flat head screws.

Bean hopper

  • Low profile – There are 2 hoppers available for the ECM V-Titan 64. We include the shorter hopper with our grinders. The total height of the grinder is approximately 17.75.” It will barely fit under standard 18″ overhead cabinets. Please keep in mind there will be no space to fill the hopper with beans.
  • Set screw – Secures the hopper to the grinder. Serves as a reminder for users from quickly removing the hopper if it is full of beans.
  • Finger guard – Prevents users from “accidentally” putting their fingers in the grinding burrs.
  • Stopper – A door near the bottom of the hopper can be pushed in to close the opening. This allows you to remove the hopper with beans inside so you can easily change the beans. There will be some beans already passed in the burrs which you will have to grind out first before removing the hopper.

Portafilter fork

  • Ease of use – There is a hook that allows you to rest your portafilter while grinding for a complete hands free operation. Accommodates most portafilters. The clearance from the fork to the funnel is approximately 2.375.”
  • Container grinding – The forks are not easily removable. However the coffee funnel and fork sit high on the grinder. You can fit any small container (under 4.5″) underneath the fork.

  • Easy to “install” – There are no screws. The tray has 2 holes which hook to the front legs of the grinder. This will help ensure that the tray won’t slide away from the grinder.
  • Convenient – As easy as it is to install, it’s just as easy to remove to discard any excess grinds. There are other comparable models that do not have a tray at all.

  1. Changing grind settings: As with all coffee grinders, it is very important to only change grind settings when the unit is powered ‘on’ and the burrs are in motion. If you do not do this, the burrs will ‘gunk’ up and require cleaning by you every time this occurs. Changing the grind settings when the burrs are not in motion will render the grinder to only produce very coarse grinds or no grinds at all. If this result occurs, this will be considered operator error for lack of following directions, and not be classified as a defective grinder.
  2. Finding coffee grinds in a new grinder: We have confirmed that the manufacturer tests EVERY grinder with coffee beans before it leaves their facility, but they are not always able to get every trace of coffee out of the grinders after testing. As a result, you may find coffee beans or grinds inside your grinder, or there may be grinds in the packaging when you unwrap it.
  3. Static issues: There are static issues with all grinders, even the highest quality models. We firmly believe that the static comes from the coffee beans. If you are having static problems with your coffee grinder, trying using a different blend of beans.
  4. Replacing burrs: NEVER use a flat head screwdriver and hammer to wedge under the burrs for removal. This could badly damage your grinder.
  5. Electrical cord: Please note that the electrical cord is placed between the packaging (foam or cardboard) and the underside body of the grinder. During shipping, it is normal for a bend or insignificant blemish / slice to damage the cord.

  • CLEANING WARNING: We recommend using grinder cleaning agents. We do not recommend any removal of the burrs or burr carrier for cleaning as re-assembly can cause damage.
  • ELECTRICAL WARNING: To avoid electrical damage to this espresso grinder which is not considered a manufacturer's defect, please acquire and install a single-outlet surge suppressor rated at 1080 joules or higher. The lack of the recommended surge suppressor, the espresso grinder can be damaged at the power switch, the capacitor, the motor, or the wiring.

When we did the search, we had all but 1 (G1021), but we did set it up in our system and will bring them in on our next parts order.       3. This is the first time I've had non-digital espresso equipment, and I'm trying to get it dialed in. I've got a few questions. Can someone from your team advise me please? 1. How do I read the numbers on the grind setting dial? Is the current setting the number at the very front of the machine (6 o'clock looking down from above), or is it the number at the worm gear (12 o'clock), or someplace else? 2. Do you have a setting you'd recommend starting at or range of what's normal for this grinder? I'm new to my espresso machine as well, and it's a lever machine, so I'm a bit lost. I keep adjusting finer and don't know if I'm way off.

      The user can determine the exact point of reading the setting point. Higher number means larger particles size, and vice versa.

      Sorry, every espresso blend is different in make up, roast profiles, etc and every machines requires a slightly different grind. Therefore, if we recommended a setting, we would most likely be incorrect. This is why customers need to dial in their own grinders with the beans and espresso machines they have.

      Sorry, the Eureka hopper neck is too big for the ECM grinder.
