Contains the upgrades from the previous PL41QE model (dispersion screen, pod basket, etc).

• Single boiler system:
  The boiler is set directly over the grouphead, also known as a saturated group. This helps provide meter temperature stability than other home models.
  • Brass: Found only in the better machines. This delivers a tremendous amount of steam power for frothing / steaming milk and unlike the aluminum / stainless steel boilers, the brass boiler does have greater temperature stability for extracting a superior espresso.
  • Quick warm up time: Less than 15 (some customers report less than 10!) minute warm-up time. Faster than the Silvia!
  • Fast transition to steam mode: With its optimally-sized brass boiler, it has less wait time to get to steam mode when compared to larger brass boiler machines, and the steaming performance is quite powerful for this little baby.
• Stainless steel body: Polished to a mirror finish. Makes this unit a show stopper in your home or office.
• Multi-directional steam wand: New to the PL41 model. An upgrade from the previous swivel wand to give you more flexibility. Also longer and with more power.
• Safety thermostats: This espresso machine utilizes 2 thermostats, 1 for steam mode, one for element safety.
• Vibration pump: Pressure rating at 15 bar – only 9 bar is need to extract espresso.
• Overpressure valve (OPV): Adjusted to 9-10 bar. The manufacturer does not recommend adjusting the OPV on their machines as Loctite is used to hold the adjustment screw in place.
• 3-way solenoid valve: Allows you to remove the coffee filter handle immediately after turning off the coffee switch. This results in dry pucks.
• Water reservoir / tank: High capacity. You can see the water level from an opening on the side of the machine. This is something more expensive machines do not have.
• Cup warming tray: Passive heating from the boiler underneath. It can fit up to 6 espresso / demitasse cups.
• Drip tray: Easy to remove. The drip tray is made of plastic. The drip tray grate is made of metal.
• Accessories: Dual spout portafilter, 1-cup filter basket, 2-cup filter basket, plastic tamper, and coffee scoop.
