      There is definitely no swirl. Firmness will depend upon ingredients and temperature. Lower temperatures  where the product is very thick and form may have difficulty extruding and the machine may shut down freezing to avoid damage to the motors and augers.

      This machine is more for soft gelato in a cup, frose (frozen wine), frozen beer, slushes, and cold cream for affogato.

      Yes, this is the machine they modify with their logos for frozen beer, slushy beer, and its also used for...

      Frosé: Frozen Rosé Wine, Frozen Wine Slushie (Wine Slushy), and Frozen Sangria.

      For beer, its great because as a topping, it keeps the beer in the glass cold for a longer period of time. There is also a two bowl version available.
