Ponte Vecchio 900-G8094 Piston Gasket

Ponte Vecchio Gasket for Piston sold in eaches – In most cases, you need to order three gaskets for the piston as there is usually more than one that needs replacement. It is a good time to replace when there is a constant leak in the grouphead (not portafilter) when the lever is up or in the top of the grouphead. You need a portafilter/filterholder/filterhandle gasket if the grouphead leaks when making espresso.

As shown in the second photo, the placement of the gaskets are different. The first gasket faces down, the second gasket faces up, and the last gasket faces down. Each gasket are sold separately

When there is a premature discharge on the lever, only replace the one gasket on the bottom of the piston.

This is for Ponte Vecchio espresso machines per their diagrams. We will not take meausrements because they can change slightly, are hard to measure, and we do not want to get involved with cross fitments to other machines which results in returns and refunds which our parts policy does not allow parts returns nor parts refunds.

    4. I have the single lusso and it's about a year and half old and today I had water come through the bleed hole. It stopped after warming up and based on searches it seems that the upper gasket is starting to go. If that's the case should all the gaskets be replaced? How many gaskets are in the lusso, 3? Would food grade silicone be the proper grease to use for these gaskets? You rent the tool to remove the shaft assembly and that would be used as a standard portafilter with the screen removed and inserted and raised turning the knob upwards to raise the shaft to remove the pins to release the shaft and spring and then reassembled using the food grade grease on the gaskets.

All three gaskets should be changed. Petrogel should be used to lube the gaskets and piston.

As for the tool that can be rented or purchased, it makes it simpler to install the piston and spring as it is very difficult without it. Yes, the dispersion screen should be removed.

Sorry, parts from Ponte Vecchio are not transferable to Zacconi espresso machines.

A The Riviera, I believe, was manufactured under different companies. Cant say for certain, but regardless I have a Riviera, I believe 1960, that I refurbed piston gaskets recently. I carefully measured the piston for i.d., and the space in machine for o.d., and this looked like it would work. In fact it was perfect. I was told by a few places I couldn't get those anymore. Very happy with this one.
