Lelit PLA2206 Dark Walnut Flow Control Kit
This flow control kit (PLA2206) is for the Lelit Mara X espresso machine models.
Please note that Lelit confirms this item fits the Lelit Mara. However, they can not confirm it fits E61 groupheads found on other machines. Lelit has confirmed that other machines can have a slightly different E61 grouphead. This item is considered a part, and not an accessory.
It is confirmed this paddle kit will not work on Vibiemme E61 groupheads due to the different structure of the top of their E61.
Please note the following to avoid damage to your grouphead:
From the top of your grouphead, the gicleur can be removed usually with an 8mm socket and socket wrench. Upon installation, needle nose pliers can be used to start the installation of the new gicleur. Otherwise, place a little white masking tape on the inside of the 8mm socket to hold the gicleur in place.
WARNING!!!! Upon installation, only hand tighten the gicleur. If you use a socket wrench, there is a 99% likelihood that the gicleur will break inside the grouphead and can be difficult to remove.

This flow control kit fits the Rocket Cincuantotto but doesn’t work properly. The paddle doesn’t allow the flow device to turn enough, so when it’s fully open, the flow rate is constricted. It needs to turn more in order to open up the pin more. A work around is to calibrate the flow rate on the open setting to 250g/25sec and when it’s “closed”, the flow rate is minimal. Another work around would be to change the wood paddle for another fitting, but that’s a hassle. I advise to not buy this kit. Unfortunately I did, and 1st Line doesn’t allow returns. They took a while to respond to my first question, and didn’t respond with a definitive answer. I was also impatient and a bit stubborn. I wanted this wood paddle. I’m wondering if their own “Lelit” kit, which is different than this one, would work.

The two Lelit kits are the same. This kit was finally made by Lelit after a few years of us requesting it from Lelit. The more expensive one was a bundling we put together on our web site by ordering all the separate components from Lelit - since we had to buy each piece separately,we paid more and of course, it cost us more. The pieces are the same between the two.
Correct, we could not respond with a definitive answer. The question is always simple, but the answer takes research time - in this case, we would have to take the Rocket machine out of the box, install the kit, warm up the machine, fully test it, and then go backwards to remove the kit from the machine. This involves a technician. Our technicians are busy repairing machines as well as handling many other inquiries prior to yours - some of them requiring skilled technicians. We wish there was some patience.
We are sorry this did not work 100% for you. Hopefully, one of the workarounds suffice. We would agree with you to not buy this kit for Rocket espresso machines.

Sorry, to answer this question is not an easy answer. If it was, we would have published it. This is why we make a statement that flow control kits may not fit groupheads by a different manufacturer.
