Lelit MC080 Steam Knob

This knob (MC080) is for the Lelit PL41 Anna espresso machine models. The internal metal clip is sold separately. These knobs usually get damaged on the inside because of over-tightening by the operator of the machine. The reason for over-tightening is that the valve has water corrosion and is not allowing the valve to close when extracting espresso. Hence, the valve should be descaled through the steam valve. If still a problem, then the valve and/or stem of the knob are corroded too much and both need replacement.

    I am having the same issue as Jonah. The replacement Lelit MC080 Steam Knob did not come with the metal clip that is required to make it work for the steam valve stem. Although, the admin answer states that they inquired via Lelit and inserted the remaining stock of the metal clips into the knobs as it's suppose to be sold with said metal clip. My Order #268190 for replacement knob did not come with the metal clip installed. Please advise how I can obtain the required meta clip? Thanks!

    Sorry about this. Apparently, Lelit is still sending these knobs when we order to replenish our inventory with subsequent orders without the insert. Our answers are at that point in time. It does not mean that it happens in the future. We will look into this.

    Lelit confirmed that they no longer include the clip. It is sold separately. Unfortunately, things change over time and we can not go back to review every single answer. In most cases, the old clip can usually be reused as it usually does not break. The clip part number is 9400045
    2. It seems there are a couple of different versions of this one-- I am looking for a knob that will fit the pl41qe ("new" model, with multi-directional wand, and NO PID). On my most recent order, I received one that was too wide at the opening to fit the stem. All Lelit PL41/anna diagrams show the same part #. Is there a way to specify this when I order?

    Sorry for the delay, as we had to wait for Lelit to confirm. Lelit confirmed that there is metal clip that needs to go into the inside hole where the steam valve stem. We checked our stock, and they sent us the knobs without the clip. We will US mail you a metal clip today. We also inserted the metal clip on the remaining stock as the knob is supposed to have the metal clip.
