Eureka Zenith Hopper Blow Up Retention System
The Eureka Zenith Hopper Blow Up Retention System is an excellent tool that helps prevent grind retention in your Eureka Zenith 65E espresso coffee grinder.
What is grind retention, you may ask?
The grinds that stay inside your espresso coffee grinder after using it. Unfortunately, these grinds will become stale and the old grinds will blend into the newer ones. Thus, this will negatively affect your next espresso shot.
All manufacturers have a goal of preventing grind retention when creating new espresso coffee grinders. The process includes inserting mechanical sweepers to help grinds push through or decreasing the distance grinds have to move. Fortunately, Eureka designed this Blow Up Retention System without needing to redesign their current models.
Retention reducing / cleaning
The Eureka Zenith Hopper Blow Up Retention System features a hopper complete with a lid, finger guard and stopper. Additionally, there is a rubber fitting between the hopper and the lid. This turns the hopper into a “plunger”. By pressing down on the lid, you create an air flow from the hopper all the way through to the coffee chute. Thus, you do not need to get rid of the beans from the hopper. You can also perform this while the grinder is in operation.
