I have an Elektra microcosasa which I purchased (and have had repaired by--most recently Mario) from you. It is getting progressively difficult to attach the portafilter. I have thoroughly cleaned the area. Does it need a new O-ring gasket? And if so, is this the correct one?--Elektra 00174035 Portafilter / Grouphead Gasket. Do you have any advice about technical needs to replace it?

Please always use the diagrams on our web site. Sorry, we do not always provide part numbers as they can change in the future. It is best to use the diagrams. You may need a dispersion screen as well.

  2. Is replacing these gaskets a job I can do myself or do you recommend I bring/send the machine to you? Is there someone I could speak to by phone about the work please?

Sorry, this is difficult to answer as we do not know the technical expertise nor the tools at hand to make a self-repair.

If you like to send in the machine for repair, please follow our diagnostic instructions.

Our technicians are paid on billable time - this means they get paid on the labor charge for the repair. If the  machine is under warranty due to manufacturer's defect(s) and not wear or tear/maintenance items, then 1st-line Equipment pays them out of pocket.
