    Is this the right vacuum valve for the ECM Synchronika? It doesn't look like the one I just pulled out of my boiler . . . no place for the silicon tubing to attach?

    2. Question about this part.....I have an ECM Germany, purchased from 1st Line in July 2014 (great machine). I hear a hissing sound which I believe is coming from the Bleeder/Vacuum Valve and read it should be replaced rather than to try and clean it. 1) Do you think this is the correct diagnosis? Is this the correct part for Model #ECMG88074 (Serial #201405310)? I would also order the 1/4 Copper Gasket. Any advice for replacing this part myself? Many Thanks. Long term customer in Montclair, NJ.

    Thank you for believing in 1st-line.

    Usually, this is the first place limescale hits on this machine. Its usually best to replace as sometimes the limescale damages the metal. As for the copper gasket, the old one can be re-used in most cases. In the very few cases that limescale has severely built up and eaten away at the gasket, then it should be replaced.
