IMS RA200IM Competition Shower Dispersion Screen

57mm IMS Shower Screen for Bezzera, Rancilio, Magister & Promac

Upgrade your espresso extraction and help eliminate harsh channeling with the IMS Competition Series Precision Shower Screen (RA200IM). Engineered and manufactured in Italy by IMS Filtri, this professional-grade shower screen replaces standard mesh or factory dispersion plates to help maximize flavor clarity, crema quality, and shot-to-shot extraction consistency for espresso enthusiasts and commercial cafés alike.

Why Upgrade Your Shower Screen?

Traditional mesh dispersion screens may develop rough edges over time where coffee oils and fines accumulate, leading to uneven water flow and stale, bitter-tasting shots. The RA200IM features an innovative one-piece integrated membrane crafted through precision chemical photo-etching, helping to produce a perfectly smooth surface that resists residue buildup and stays cleaner for longer. Its 98 laser-cut 3mm holes are arranged in a precise circular pattern to distribute water evenly across the entire coffee puck, softening the initial pressure flow and virtually eliminating dry spots and channeling for a more balanced, flavorful extraction.

Compatibility Exceptions – Please Check Before Ordering

This screen will NOT fit the following machines:

• Rancilio Silvia Pro X — modified group geometry causes the screw to protrude; use the specialized IMS SR200RNT instead.
• La Pavoni home/lever machines (Europiccola, Professional) and select vintage commercial groups (Group S, P-Uno, P-Tre).
• Standard E61 group heads (common on Bezzera and other brands) requiring a 60mm friction-fit screen with no central screw.
• Breville espresso machines — proprietary 54mm consumer or 58mm commercial groups are incompatible with this 57mm central-screw design.

Installation Tip

Avoid over-tightening the group head screw during installation. Excessive torque can warp the precision stainless steel face, inadvertently creating channeling around the screen’s perimeter.
