The instructions below are for the older PL41 Anna espresso machine models. These versions were released around 2006. This is before the QE versions.

Pictured to the right is the Nut and the dispersion screen. The dispersion screen has had its center hold drilled out to allow the gold nut to fit through.

The approximate size of the hold is slightly larger than 0.5″.

A dial caliper measures the diameter of a perforated metal disc, commonly used as a dispersion screen for espresso machines like the Lelit PL41 Anna. The caliper’s display shows a precise measurement, perfect for your next upgrade. 2025 1st-line.com

After the hold is drilled, the gold nut should fit through the center. This is how it will reattach to the boiler.

Reassembled, we see the old style gold nut holding the new screen to the boiler.
