The latest innovation from IMS, the Big Bang basket has fewer and smaller holes that get closer together near the center. The distance between holes starts at 1.5mm at the center and increases as you move outwards toward the edge. This unique pattern forces move flow through the center, reducing side channeling and resulting in a balanced espresso with softened acidity. This basket has been electropolished for an easy to clean finish and strong chemical resistance.
This filter basket may be used with a portafilter that accepts 58 mm baskets that are 25.5 mm in height. The filter accepts a 58/58.4 mm tamper and has a capacity of 20/22.5 grams.
