Mazzer Kony S Espresso Coffee Grinder
Looking for a commercial espresso grinder? Take a look at this beautiful Mazzer Kony S in black! It will give your home or café a whole new look!

Grinder Flow Control System
- GFC – A new innovative feature from Mazzer. This helps decrease any coffee grounds from spilling beyond the grinds catch tray while also keeping your coffee grounds consistent. Comes preinstalled in your grinder.

Electronic controls
- Multiple dosing options – Choose between 3 programmable preset options or semi-automatic dosing.
- Digital display – Easy-to-read LCD display that can show date/time, shot counter, & dose timer.
- Operation – Can activate the grinder by using the control panel or by pressing your portafilter against the dosing pin.

Grinding adjustment
- Stepless – Gives you an “infinite” range of settings which allows you to really fine-tune your Kony S to your espresso machine. Turn clockwise for a coarser grind and counterclockwise for a finer grind.
- Setting lock – A set screw that keeps your current setting. Prevents users from accidentally altering it and spending time to find their desired setting again.

Grinding burrs
- Conical grinding burrs – Very large size at 63 mm. The larger the size, the more of a grinding surface, resulting in faster production.
- Low rpm – Slower spinning rate at 500 rpm. The lower the speed, the less heat build-up, which can affect your coffee grinds. This combined with the large grinding burrs helps keep your production high without sacrificing the quality of your coffee, especially delicate blends.
- Sweeping fan – Helps push beans down to the burrs for a smooth operation. Additionally, a separate fan keeps heat from affecting the quality and aromas of your coffee.

Portafilter fork
- Hands-free – There are 2 hooks that your portafilter can hook onto for a completely hands-free experience.
- Adjustable – You can adjust the hooks to accommodate different size portafilters. There is an extra set of hooks for larger size portafilters.

Grinds catch tray
- Removable: The tray form fits to the front feet of the grinder. It easily slides in and out to empty and clean.

Bean hopper
- Large capacity – Holds approximately 2.9 pounds of roasted coffee beans. Saves time from constantly refilling in a busy environment. Smaller bean hoppers are currently not available.
- Safety lock – Secures the hopper to the Kony S. To ensure safety, the grinder will not operate unless the hopper is properly inserted.
- Fingerguard – Prevents users from “accidentally” putting their fingers in the grinding burrs.
- Stopper – A door near the bottom of the hopper can be pushed in to close the opening. This allows you to remove the hopper with beans inside so you can easily change the beans. There will be some beans already passed in the burrs which will have to be ground out first before removing the hopper.
- Lid lock – Extra latch that secures the lid to the hopper.

Parts & accessories included
- Tamping station – Simple. compact. Money saving.
- Tamper – Double-sided aluminum. One side is for 53 mm portafilters. The other is for 58 mm portafilters.
- Brush – A simple brush for cleaning all around your grinder or countertop.
- Portafilter hooks – For larger-size portafilters.
- Lid lock – For the bean hopper lid.
- Dosing pin – For smaller portafilters.
Notes
Espresso Coffee Grinder Warnings:
- Changing grind settings: It is very important to only change grind settings when the unit is powered on and the burrs are in motion. If you do not do this, the burrs will ‘gunk’ up and render the grinder to only produce very coarse grinds or no grinds at all. To remedy this, you will have to open up the grinder to get access to the grinding burrs. This issue will be considered operator error for lack of following directions, and not be classified as a defective grinder.
- Electrical cord: The cord is placed between the packaging (foam or cardboard) and the underside body of the grinder. During shipping, it is normal for a bend or insignificant blemish/slice to damage the cord.
- Finding coffee grinds in a new grinder: We have confirmed that the manufacturer tests EVERY grinder with coffee beans before it leaves their facility. Unfortunately, they are not always able to get every trace of coffee out of the grinders after testing. As a result, you may find coffee beans or grinds inside your grinder, or there may be grinds in the packaging.
- Static issues: There are static issues with all grinders, even the highest-quality models. We firmly believe that the static comes from the coffee beans. If you are having static problems with your coffee grinder, try using a different blend of beans.
- Electrical: To avoid electrical damage (which is not considered a manufacturer’s defect), please acquire and install a single-outlet surge suppressor rated at 1080 joules or higher. A surge without protection can damage a grinder at the power switch, the capacitor, the motor, or the wiring.
- Burr cleaning: For routine maintenance of the grinding burrs, we recommend using grinder cleaning agents. We do not recommend any removal of the burrs or the burr carrier for cleaning (unless absolutely necessary) as re-assembly can cause damage.
- Replacing burrs: NEVER use a flathead screwdriver and hammer to wedge under the burrs for removal. This could badly damage your grinder.
