Pod Adapter for E61 Grouphead Espresso Machines

Ask Questions on Grimac E61 Grouphead Pod Adapter Materials & Specs

Convert your Faema E61-style grouphead espresso machine for convenient single E.S.E. pod brewing with this Pod Adapter. Designed to work with most espresso machines equipped with a Faema E61 grouphead, this adapter provides a practical option for commercial environments where both espresso pods and traditional ground coffee may be used.

The E61 Pod Adapter Kit includes the adapter head, O-ring, dispersion shower screen, and dispersion screen screw. It installs in place of the standard grouphead shower screen and is used with the machine’s one-cup filter basket. Depending on the specific basket and E.S.E. pod being used, some experimentation with alternative one-cup filter baskets may be necessary to achieve the best fit and results.

Important Compatibility & Installation Notes

This pod adapter fits most espresso machines with a Faema E61 grouphead, but compatibility is not guaranteed. Grouphead designs and clearances can vary between machines, so verify your machine before ordering.

When removing the original shower screen, the standard screen will most likely be damaged during removal. The existing grouphead gasket, however, is usually still reusable. The standard shower screen is commonly referenced as F277, while compatible grouphead gaskets may include F15.

The adapter can be used with single E.S.E. pods or ground coffee. However, using the pod adapter reduces the available space for ground coffee, which can result in a somewhat lower-quality ground coffee extraction when larger doses are desired. Not every E.S.E. pod will necessarily work with every machine or basket, so different one-cup filter baskets may need to be tried.

Note: Adapter and O-ring colors may vary from the photos depending on the supplier batch received.
