Important: Commercial vs. Home Machine Compatibility

This is a commercial-grade gasket and is not the correct part for Gaggia home machines such as the Gaggia Classic, Baby, or Carezza.These units use gasket 72mm x 57mm x 8.5mm, or 71mm x 56mm x 9mm depending on production year, which has a slightly wider inner diameter than the G018. Installing the commercial G018 on a home machine can prevent the portafilter ears from locking in properly or require excessive force to twist into place. Installation Instructions

1. Orientation matters: Install the gasket with the “G” label / chamfered edge facing up into the group head pocket.
2. Flat side down: The smooth, flat face of the gasket should face downward to meet the rim of the portafilter basket.
3. Seat fully: Press the gasket firmly into the group head recess, ensuring it sits evenly all the way around before locking in the portafilter.

Maintenance Recommendation

In commercial or heavy-use settings, replace this gasket every 6 to 12 months — before the rubber hardens, cracks, or begins leaking water sideways during extraction. Routine replacement protects extraction consistency and prevents unnecessary strain on your group head components.
