Frequently Bought Together
Your espresso machine's shower screen should be cleaned regularly to help remove coffee oils and residue that can affect espresso flavor and extraction. If your espresso machine is equipped with a 3-way group head solenoid valve, you can typically clean the group using backflushing detergent and a blind filter (backflush basket) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
If your espresso maker does not have a 3-way group head solenoid valve, do not attempt to backflush it. Instead, remove the shower screen and clean it manually with an appropriate espresso machine cleaning detergent.
If you are unsure whether your espresso machine supports detergent backflushing, consult the manufacturer's documentation before using backflushing detergent. Always follow the cleaning and maintenance instructions recommended for your specific espresso machine.
Faema E61 Grouphead Gasket – 8mm Soft
The Faema E61 Grouphead Gasket is an 8mm soft portafilter gasket designed for espresso machines equipped with the classic Faema E61 group head. This replacement espresso machine gasket provides a reliable seal between the group head and portafilter, helping prevent water leakage during brewing and ensuring proper portafilter engagement.
The soft gasket material makes installation easier and provides the flexibility needed to create a proper seal. It is an excellent replacement for worn, compressed, hardened, or leaking grouphead gaskets on compatible E61 espresso machines.

Recommended Group Gasket Replacement Interval
For espresso machines that are powered on 4 or more hours per day, replacing the grouphead gasket approximately every 6 months is recommended. For machines with lighter use, replacement approximately every 12 months is generally appropriate.
Regular replacement can help maintain a proper portafilter seal and reduce the chance of water leaking around the group head. A gasket should also be replaced sooner if it becomes hard, cracked, flattened, damaged, or begins leaking.

Lettered or rough side up into grouphead.
I inherited a L’élit machine sériel number 507 xxxx produced 20/12/2011. I am trying to replace the gasket and am having a difficult time removing the Allen’s screw. Do you know the size of the Allen wrench I should be using. Also if it is impossible to remove can I attempt to remove the 4 screws surrounding the head? Thank you for any help you can give me. You could call if that is easier. xxx-xxx-xxx

Thank you for your inquiry, The gasket on this page does not fit any Lelit home models. Sorry the serial number which we disguised does not assist us in determining your model machine. Hence, we can not determine which size allen key driver you need as Lelit never provided these details on the different version screws they used.
Based on the age, the warranty for any technical support has expired over 7 years ago and the machine should really be looked at by a professional to determine the causes your machine is experiencing..
