The BWT Bestmax  2XL Premium Filter Cartridge can be your top-notch water filtration hero for hot coffee and espresso! Your drinks will have the perfect taste, and your espresso will get the best crema! This is because the filter cartridge incorporates patented BWT Mg2+ technology, which uses filtered water and magnesium to create a mineral. Furthermore, the filter cartridge prevents limescale in your espresso machine, so you will not need to descale so often. However, we do recommend descaling from time to time in order to ensure your machine will last.

The BWT Bestmax Premium uses a five-stage filtration process, which specifies the following:

• Particle pre-filter – Divides coarse particles, like rust and sand.
• Start-up carbon pre-filter – Gets rid of oxidants and protects the ion exchanger from aging.
• Top-performing ion exchanger – Gets rid of hardening substances and modifies mineral balance.
