I have replaced the Mater pressurestat on my Strega and descaled the machine. The machine still intermittently overheats, and I do not hear the click of the relay when this occurs. After cooling and restarting the machine, I hear the clicks again and the machine will maintain temperature and pressure. I only use deionized water and monitor to make sure that the filter is working. The parts diagram is a little confusing--this part is not physically present in my 2011 Vintage Strega. Is this part an alternative to the Mater? If so, do you recommend this instead of the Mater? Thanks

It is best to stick with the part physically in the machine. If your came with a Mater, then replace with the Mater. When switching to a completely different sized pressurstat, the current wiring and voltage may not be enough to pass signals to and from the motherboard or too much and burn the wiring.
