1st-Cup Fattobene ROASTED Coffee Beans
Our signature blend of 1st-Cup Fattobene is a result of multiple months of research and design to be ‘done all right’ on all ends of the coffee brewing spectrum. FattoBene In Italian translates into ‘Done All Right” in English.
You can use our Fattobene blend for multiple brewing methods: espresso, drip, and French press.
Utilizing a very high quality blend of green coffees, we tried to achieve a mild sweetness in the cup leaving a highly desirable and palatable chocolate aftertaste for espresso – all without adding any sugar.
Roasted to perfection
The first step we measure and mix a selection from our premium green coffee beans. After roasting, our premium beans transition into a cooling chamber in the middle of the second crack. Then after a very quick cool, we immediately package in special coffee bags for degassing. Since we roast to order, it is best to wait until 5-7 days from the day we ship before brewing/extracting your coffee.
Fattobene is available only as whole beans. The main reason is to preserve superior flavor profiles. Packaged in an air tight bag with resealable closure.
Please note that we roast this coffee to order and it may take 1-5 days before we roast and ship.

I’m always sampling various espresso blends, some from Italy & some roasted locally. I’ve purchased & enjoyed some Italian imports from 1st-line, including Miscela d’Oro which is excellent. This is my first purchase of their own product, sold under the 1st-Cup brand. This blend is very fragrant & is roasted just right for a proper espresso. The flavor has a crisp & slightly tart flavor that is very pleasing. I do not find that much of the chocolate after-taste as described by the product’s description, but what I do get are slight hints of chocolate along with the tartness of a very dry wine. I will add this product to the espresso blends that I plan to purchase again.

I have been grinding and extracting my own espresso for about 30 years now. I have tried every coffee imaginable from Italy and a few other places. You name the brand – Kimbo, Segafreddo, Lavazza, Pasalacqua, ESSSE… – could go on forever. I’ve also had coffee from some smaller roasters like La Columbe, Hawaii Coffee Co. and a few others.
None of them have been as fresh or have extracted as nicely as FATTOBENE… I get pure crema, incredible tiger striping when extracting, specks of brown and gold that float on top of the crema. It tastes bold and clean with a small aftertaste that is so pleasant. So often I have an espresso and that’s all I can taste for an hour. This blend is delicious to drink and doesn’t overpower anything else you might want to eat after.
I would choose this blend over all of the others brands and roasts out there!!

I could barely have a single shot, whereas I’m fine with a double with many other espressos. I was eager to move on to another bean. Flavor was fine but honestly it didn’t stand out to me.

I tried this recently and love it. Nice smooth flavor, thick rich crema, amazing flavor!
A new favorite and I will buy more soon!

I received my first pound of Fattobean as part of my machine purchase. I had other espresso beans on hand and didn’t start to use it until 3 weeks after it’s roast date. Just finished the first bag and ordered another. We have lots of great roasters around here but Fattobean is right up there with them in terms of taste, consistency and longevity in the bag. It’s a rich flavor without being cloying. It makes a great straight shot, americano and works well with my dry cappuccinos.

These beans make great shots of espresso and milk drinks. Baking cocoa and spice palate with a creamy richness thats well balanced against a pleasant mild acidity. My new go-to blend. Phenomenal with a bit of Ethiopian blended in if home blending is your thing. The cocoa and blueberries play oh so nicely together!

I got a pound of these with my new Lelit Elizabeth and loved the taste. I’ve tried other espressos with wonderful results, but Fattobene is more consistently delicious than any of the others I’ve tried. I like all its flavors whether fresh, a week of two old or our of the freezer (divided into weekly portions with as much air sucked our as I can manage, then left in the portion bag for 24 hours to come up to room temp. I brew at 200F. Thank you, First-Line. I love this coffee.

I got a sample of Fattobene when picking up my Silvia. I patiently waited for the roast to mature while I used up the last of my Lazazza Gran Espresso. I pulled my first shot today and promptly turned my Rocky one step coarser. The next shot I pulled was absolute heaven.
I had to pull a 3rd for the cappuccino I was trying to make in the first place. 🙂
The taste and crema is, by far, the best I’ve ever pulled in my Silvia since getting it in 2018.
