Overview
Features
Grinder Burrs
- Flat burrs: Large size at 64 mm. The larger the size, the more of a grinding surface, resulting in faster production. Made of tempered steel for long-lasting durability.
- High rpm: A very fast spinning rate at 1600 rpm. The higher the speed, the faster the production, which can increase efficiency and reduce wait times.
- Easy access: Remove the bean hopper. Turn the grinding adjustment to the coarser direction until the top assembly comes off. This will give you access to the burrs and the grinding chamber. Allen key screws hold these burrs in place.
On Demand Controls
- Updated design: All the buttons are in the same places as the previous version, but now with a new sleek design. The control pad is also ergonomically slanted to make it easier to operate.
- Multiple dosing options: Press the left “1” button for a single dose. Press the right “2” button for a double dose. The center button can be programmed for either semi-automatic dosing (by default) or triple dosing (activate through the menu).
- Time-based grinding: You can adjust the grind time for each automatic dose up to 99.95 seconds max. Hold the upper left “menu” button until the display starts to blink. Then select the “1” or “2” dosing button. Use the “up” and “down” arrows to change the time. You can make very tiny adjustments by 0.01-second increments.
- Dosing count: This helps keep track of usage. Displays the total count of automatic doses, not manual doses. Single doses will add 1 to the tonal count. Double doses will add 2 to the total count.
- Grind process: You can either start grinding using the touchpad controls or with your portafilter (off by default).
Grinder Adjustment
- Stepless: Infinite number of grind settings which allows you really fine-tune your grind for espresso.
- Upgraded Adjustment Dial: The new dial is a little bigger and etched with an indicator that tells you how to adjust the grind settings. Turn to the smaller circle (counter-clockwise) for a finer grind. Turn to the larger circle (clockwise) for a coarser grind. The entire dial has numbers so you can remember your current grind setting easier.
- Upgraded Adjustment Lever: The new lever is a little longer to make adjustments easier. There are 5 positions where you can install this lever. Once you find your correct grind setting, you can move the lever to another position. This is so it won’t stick out the sides of the grinder.
Bean Hopper
- High Capacity: This bean hopper holds approximately 2.4 pounds (1.1 kilograms) of whole coffee beans.
- Set Screw: Secures the hopper to the grinder. Serves as a reminder for users from quickly removing the hopper if it is full of beans.
- Finger Guard: Prevents users from “accidentally” putting their fingers in the grinding burrs.
- Stopper: A door near the bottom of the hopper can be pushed in to close the opening. This allows you to remove the hopper with beans inside so you can easily change the beans. There will be some beans already passed in the burrs which will have to be ground out first before removing the hopper.
Portafilter Fork
- Ease of use: There are 2 hooks that hold your portafilter while grinding for a complete hands-free operation. These hooks are adjustable to to fit any portafilter. Larger separate hooks are available if needed.
- Adjustable: The clearance from the fork to the funnel can be adjusted from 2.25″ to 3.25″. The fork assembly is held in by 2 Philips head screws and can slide up or down.
Grinds Catch Tray
- Convenient: As easy as it is to install, it’s just as easy to remove to discard any excess grinds. This simple part will help keep your kitchen counter top clean. There are other comparable models that do not have a tray at all.
- Easy to “install”: There are no screws or hooks. The tray form fits to the front legs of the grinder. If you need to slide your grinder over on your counter, the tray moves with it.

Notes
Espresso Coffee Grinder Warnings:
- Changing grind settings: It is very important to only change grind settings when the unit is powered on and the burrs are in motion. If you do not do this, the burrs will ‘gunk’ up and render the grinder to only produce very coarse grinds or no grinds at all. To remedy this, you will have to open up the grinder to get access to the grinding burrs. This issue will be considered operator error for lack of following directions, and not be classified as a defective grinder.
- Electrical cord: For most grinders, the cord is placed between the packaging (foam or cardboard) and the underside body of the grinder. During shipping, it is normal for a bend or insignificant blemish/slice to damage the cord.
- Finding coffee grinds in a new grinder: Most manufacturers test their grinders with coffee beans before they leave their facility. Unfortunately, they are not always able to get every trace of coffee out of the grinders after testing. As a result, you may find coffee beans or grinds inside your grinder, or there may be grinds in the packaging.
- Static issues: There are static issues with all grinders, even the highest-quality models. We firmly believe that the static comes from the coffee beans. If you are having static problems with your coffee grinder, try using a different blend of beans.
- Electrical: To avoid electrical damage (which is not considered a manufacturer’s defect), please acquire and install a single-outlet surge suppressor rated at 1080 joules or higher. A surge without protection can damage a grinder at the power switch, the capacitor, the motor, or the wiring.
- Burr cleaning: For routine maintenance of the grinding burrs, we recommend using grinder cleaning agents. We do not recommend any removal of the burrs or the burr carrier for cleaning (unless necessary) as re-assembly can cause damage.
- Replacing burrs: NEVER use a flathead screwdriver and hammer to wedge under the burrs for removal. This could badly damage your grinder.
