  1. Power off the espresso machine and allow it to cool. Also, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  2. Remove the blue wire connection.
  3. Remove the larger nut from the boiler (do not pull on the rod upwards and do not remove the upper nut from the lower).
  4. Wire brush the inside of the rod.
  5. Wrap plumber’s tape around the thread of the larger nut (usually 2-4 rounds).
  6. Reconnect the blue wire connection.
  7. Power on the machine. Test and check for any other leaks.
