      I bought a Lelit Elizabeth and read the instructions on cleaning. It tells you how to backflush. It also mentions to descale but gives no directions on how to do so. Do you have advise on this? Also, if I use spring water for my machine, do I even need a water softener?

      We suggest ALWAYS using the Lelit filter/water softener. This minimizes descaling which is more difficult to perform on a dual boiler espresso machine as well as eating away at the internal components.
