      2. Is this plug used to take the new style tanks and plug the fill hole at the bottom so that it will work in the older model Giotto that used tubing to go into the tank?

      Yes, for tanks manufacturered with the hole on the bottom PRIOR to 2013. After 2012, they may have changed the reservoir.
