The PUQPress Q1 is the original automatic precision coffee tamper by this manufacturer, and here we have the latest version! Furthermore, the tamper produces automatic, hands-free operation to give ease to every professional barista using it. Seriously, this tamper can fit all traditional espresso machines with all sprouted portafilter sizes, single and double shots! In just 1.3 seconds, the PUQPress Q1 will perform a totally perfect and efficient tamp. Thus, there is no doubt that each coffee order in a restaurant or cafe will come out incredible! As James Hoffman, the World Barista Champion in 2007, states, "Do you have a cafe? Then you should probably buy one."
The tamper is easy enough to start up too. All you need to do is plug the tamper in, adjust the lower fork, and input your ideal tamping force with a 1 kg (2.2 lb) precision. Finally, the Q1 has a similar design to the PUQPress Q2, although the Q1 is available in black/silver, both with an aluminum finish to impress a barista's customers.
How it works
- Upper clamp – The PUQPress Q1 is suitable for all portafilters thanks to its patented clamping mechanism.
- Lower clamp – Is adjustable to fit with any size portafilter.
- Sensor – Place in the portafilter to automatically activate the tamper.
- Setting – Set the tamping pressure between 10-30 kg (22-66 lbs), which you can see on the display.
- Cleaning – A cleaning mode is available on the tamper disk.
