Mazzer Robur S Electronic Stepless Doserless Espresso Coffee Grinder with Grind Flow Control

The Mazzer Robur S is the manufacturer’s hottest high-tech espresso coffee grinder that we are now carrying, as of February 2020! This is an excellent grinder to use in a restaurant, cafe, or large office space. However, if you have A LOT of counter space in your kitchen at home and you are looking for something quite high-end, then this could be great for you.

Control your coffee grinds
  • Grind flow control system – This will consistently get your ground coffee into the portafilter without making a mess in your kitchen. Additionally, this features a portable aluminum outlet and three wire dampers that are utilized based on the type of coffee you want to produce. Moreover, these dampers are hybrid (factory fitted), AntiClumping, and AntiDust.
Portafilter fork
  • Adjustable – Three plastic spacers (2mm, 3mm, and 4mm) come with the Robur. These fit behind the portafilter holder/fork to adjust to different portafilter sizes. This helps in allowing the coffee to center better when it drops into the portafilter.
  • Removable – You can remove the fork if you wish to grind into a container. There are 2 Phillips screws that hold the fork in place.
Grinding adjustment
  • Stepless – Gives you an “infinite” range of settings which allows you to really fine-tune your Robur to your espresso machine. Turn clockwise for a coarser grind and counterclockwise for a finer grind.
  • Setting lock – A set screw that keeps your current setting. Prevents users from accidentally altering it and spending time to find your correct setting again.
Electronic controls
  • Multiple dosing options – Press the dosing button once for a single dose. Press the dosing button quickly twice for a double dose. Press the dosing button three times for a triple dose. Also, you can set a maximum dosage. Hold the dosing button for a manual dose. Programmable pausing feature when in the middle of coffee grinding.
  • Digital display – Provides shot timer.
  • Time-based grinding – You can adjust the time for each automatic dose up to 99.95 seconds max. You can make very tiny adjustments by 0.05-second increments.
  • Dosing count – This helps keep track of usage. Displays the total count of automatic doses, not manual doses. Single doses will add 1 to the total count. Double doses will add 2 to the total count. Specifically, the Robur S will decrease coffee retention by approximately 50%, in comparison to other Mazzer commercial espresso grinders.
  • Control panel – The memory board with a 160-degree viewing angle is a new feature on the Mazzer Robur! You can track the methods in which your coffee is ground every time and it is cloud compatible. Available in 19 different languages.
Grinding burrs
  • Conical grinding burrs – Very large size at 71 mm. The larger the size, the more of a grinding surface, resulting in faster production.
  • Low rpm – Slower spinning rate at 500 rpm. The lower the speed, the less heat build-up, which can affect your coffee grinds. This combined with the large grinding burrs helps keep your production high without sacrificing the quality of your coffee, especially delicate blends.
  • Sweeping fan – Helps push beans down to the burrs for a smooth operation. Additionally, the cooling system provides the perfect aromas for your coffee.
Bean hopper
  • Large capacity – Holds approximately 3.5 pounds of roasted coffee beans. Saves time from constantly refilling in a busy environment. Smaller bean hoppers are currently not available.
  • Set screw – Secures the hopper to the Robur. To ensure safety, the grinder will not operate unless the screw is tightened.
  • Fingerguard – Prevents users from “accidentally” putting their fingers in the grinding burrs.
  • Stopper – A door near the bottom of the hopper can be pushed in to close the opening. This allows you to remove the hopper with beans inside so you can easily change the beans. There will be some beans already passed in the burrs which will have to be ground out first before removing the hopper.
Grinds catch tray
  • Clean environment – Help keep your counter clean from any accidental spillage from dosing your coffee grinds.
  • Removable – The tray forms to the front feet. You can easily remove if you want to save on width and depth.

Espresso Grinder Warning

  • CLEANING WARNING: We recommend using grinder cleaning agents. We do not recommend any removal of the burrs or burr carrier for cleaning as re-assembly can cause damage.
  • ELECTRICAL WARNING: To avoid electrical damage to this espresso grinder which is not considered a manufacturer's defect, please acquire and install a single-outlet surge suppressor rated at 1080 joules or higher. The lack of the recommended surge suppressor, the espresso grinder can be damaged at the power switch, the capacitor, the motor, or the wiring.

  1. Changing grind settings: As with all coffee grinders, it is very important to only change grind settings when the unit is powered ‘on’ and the burrs are in motion. If you do not do this, the burrs will ‘gunk’ up and require cleaning by you every time this occurs. Changing the grind settings when the burrs are not in motion will render the grinder to only produce very coarse grinds or no grinds at all. If this result occurs, this will be considered operator error for lack of following directions, and not be classified as a defective grinder.
  2. Finding coffee grinds in a new grinder: We have confirmed that the manufacturer tests EVERY grinder with coffee beans before it leaves their facility, but they are not always able to get every trace of coffee out of the grinders after testing. As a result, you may find coffee beans or grinds inside your grinder, or there may be grinds in the packaging when you unwrap it.
  3. Static issues: There are static issues with all grinders, even the highest quality models. We firmly believe that the static comes from the coffee beans. If you are having static problems with your coffee grinder, trying using a different blend of beans.
  4. Replacing burrs: NEVER use a flat head screwdriver and hammer to wedge under the burrs for removal. This could badly damage your grinder.
  5. Electrical cord: Please note that the electrical cord is placed between the packaging (foam or cardboard) and the underside body of the grinder. During shipping, it is normal for a bend or insignificant blemish / slice to damage the cord.
