Hello. I purchased a Lelit PL41TQE from you back in 2013 and it's a great machine! Recently I have had some water leaking from the steam wand tip when pulling shots of espresso. Additionally, after steaming milk and closing the valve completely, I can hear some steam still leaking out of the wand tip. I ordered the steam valve body for my machine after ordering a new stem and decalcifying the machine did not fix the issue. I was wondering, do you have to remove the brass boiler to be able to unscrew the old steam valve body from the boiler? I removed several wires, water lines and the steam wand to get to the old steam valve body and the old steam valve body would not unscrew from the brass boiler by hand. I also looked for some guidance from the knowledge base on your website and couldn't find that repair listed in the pictures. Do you have pictures available for the process of removal and installation of a new steam valve body for my machine? Any information or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Sorry, the boiler does need to be completely removed to remove the steam valve from the boiler.  We apologize we do not have any instructions at this time for a self-repair of the repalcement of the steam valve. We currently only have instructions for the steam valve stem.

    2. Hi there, I removed the cover of the machine and can now verify that the leak is happening through the tip hole of the steam wand. None of the junctions between parts shows a leak. My sense is that the leak is occurring due to the inability to tighten the valve sufficiently, or perhaps a worn our gasket within the valve assembly. What would you recommend in terms of fixing the machine? Thanks, Michael

The repair involves determining the version of the steam valve, and then determining if the valve itself or the steam stem is damaged. It may be best to ship it in for repair.

    4. Thanks for your reply. I haven't disassembled the machine to try to diagnose the source of the leak. But it manifests as water leaking through the steam wand tip hole. There is no water leaking from any other part of the assembly upstream. Happy to try pulling the assembly apart if it's useful in diagnosing the problem. Thanks, Michael

Yes, without sending it in, it is best to determine where the leak is originating from.

    6. Hi there, I have a Lelit PL041TQE Espresso Machine - PID- B208 purchased in 2013. It has been a great machine, but has developed a leak in the water pipe that I think is starting to affect the quality of the shots (and the pressure). I see that I should look for the MC214-41 Steam Valve Body TO Mc216-41 Stem part, but when I search the website, I can't seem to locate the specific part. Will the Lelit 2200065 part work for me, or is there another part that would? Thanks, Michael

Sorry, Lelit is still working on a project to determine which serial numbers have which specific parts as they changed over the years. In a different question, please be more specific to exactly where is the leak. Steam valve stem? Connection between wand and steam valve? Connection of tip to wand? Through steam wand tip hole?
