1st-line Equipment introduces the la Pavoni Bar-Star series of commercial espresso machines. Newly designed to be the most technically advanced automatic / progammable dosing la Pavoni machines available.

Available in 2 group, 3 group, or 4 group versions. All units feature a 4-position, power saver switch that allows for off, sleep, 3/4, and full capacity settings, resulting in a substantial electrical cost savings. Dosing settings are controlled by a digital control pad and microprocessor. Thermal stability ensures that the groups maintain consistent temperature at all times.

  • Groups made with press-forged brass and chrome plated, with vertical infusion chamber and pressurisation system
  • Pre-infusion: Immediately prior to the brewing process, a blast of hot water at 1 Bar of pressure is sprayed atop the coffee grinds to cover the coffee surface. This guarantees that the brewing process will distribute evenly throughout the handle and flow into the cups uniformly.
  • Thermical stability: In order to maintain a constant temperature in the coffee groups, hot water from the boiler is circulated throughout the group heads on a continues basis. Empty coffee handles should be left on the groups when not in use so they adapt to the same temperature.

Espresso Machine Warning:

  • ELECTRICAL WARNING: To avoid electrical damage to this espresso machine which is not considered a manufacturer's defect, please acquire and install a single-outlet surge suppressor rated at 1080 joules or higher. the lack of the recommended surge suppressor, the espresso machine can be damaged at the power switch, the electronics, the heating element, the pressurstat or the wiring inside.
  • WATER WARNING: To increase the useful life of and not damage your espresso machine, please use softened water. Softened water is water without calcium and without magnesium, but still has other minerals for espresso extraction. Do not use distilled water, purified water, nor reverse osmosis water as these types of water create oxidation with the metals and cause the same damaging effects as limescale.
  • DESCALING WARNING: We do not recommend descaling unless there is an issue with the espresso machine. The reason is that too much descaling can eat away at the metals and gaskets inside an espresso machine.
