My BZ07 is starting to act up: when I switch the machine on the it is cycling through 1.01 on the PID for ~20 minutes before starting the boiler. Once it finally kicks in it seems to heat up fine and stays stable. Could that be a faulty PID or is that something else? (The PID display is also missing one LED segment)

It is difficult to confirm as we sometimes just have to replace one part out at a time.  It is not as easy as people think.

    2. I have a Bezzera Espresso machine BZ07SDE1IL2HX purchased from 1st-Line some time ago and the PID Display is beginning to fail. Lines are missing making the digits only partially display. My question is how difficult would it be to replace the PID Display? Would it be a matter of removing a few screws and a cover or is it a much more complicated process? I look forward to your e-mail response. Thanks.

It is not that complicated. Disconnect machine's electrical plug from electrical outlet and allow to fully cool. Remove top covers. Take pictures and mark wiring. Remove 2 screws from back of PID and slide it forward. Disconnect wires one at a time and reconnect to new PID. Slide PID back in and in reverse, re-assemble.

    4. We have a Bezzera BZ 07 PID machine. The bottom part of the digital readout on the PID display isn't legible. Can I purchase just the display part only or will I need to replace the entire PID control? Also, the 1st line website indicates that the PID is out of stock. Is the part normally in stock? Thanks for your assistance.
