The Eureka Atom Specialty 75 is a professionally designed espresso coffee grinder that is great for your home or commercial espresso bar! It grinds lightening FAST!!!! Although the looks are very similar to the original Eureka Atom, what makes this version better is that it features large (75mm) flat gold titanium burrs. Therefore, the time it takes to grind the coffee beans will be quicker and will still be quiet! The height of the grinder, including the small hopper, is a whopping 17 inches, so make sure you have the appropriate amount of space on your countertop. Additionally, the short bean hopper can hold approximately 250 grams of espresso beans. The Eureka Atom Speciality 75 is available in chrome or matt black.
According to the diagrams, the grinding chamber is slightly larger on the Atom 75, so grinds retention can be a little greater. However, if you dose the beans into the hopper, you should be able to dose most of the grinds out. Or, use the optional BLOW UP system.

Grinding burrs
- Flat grinding burrs – Large size at 75 mm. The larger the size, the more of a grinding surface, resulting in faster production. The burrs are made of a long lasting TITANIUM.
- High rpm – Fast spinning rate at 1400 rpm. The higher the speed, the faster the production, which can increase efficiency and reduce wait times. Espresso grinding is approximately 4.5 – 5.5 grams / second, but depends on beans, voltage, and grind fineness.
Grinding adjustment
- Stepless – Gives you an “infinite” range of settings which allow you to really fine tune your grind to your espresso machine. Turn clockwise for a finer grind and counterclockwise for a coarser grind.
- Perfect positioning – The adjustment knob is located on the top right of the grinder, underneath the bean hopper. This helps keep the overall width of the Eureka Atom Specialty 75 low compared to other grinders that have it on the side. This also protects it from hitting against other equipment.
Bean hopper
- Short and Compact – The hopper holds approximately 250 grams of whole coffee beans.
- Rubber neck guard – The bean hopper sits comfortably on top of the grinder. There is a rubber neck guard which helps protect the neck of the bean hopper from cracking.
- Set screw – Secures the hopper to the grinder. Prevents users from quickly removing the hopper, spilling beans everywhere.
- Finger guard – Prevents users from “accidentally” putting their fingers in the grinding burrs.
- Stopper – A door near the bottom of the hopper can be pushed in to close the opening. This allows you to remove the hopper with beans inside so you can easily change the beans. There will be some beans already passed in the burrs which will have to be ground out first before removing the hopper.
Portafilter fork
- Portafilter fork – Used mainly for espresso grinding. The distance from the portafilter fork to the coffee chute is approximately 2.5″. There is a built-in lip that helps hold most portafilters in place. The distance from the portafilter fork to the lip is approximately 1.5″. The fork can be adjusted up and down by loosening the holding screw with the included Allen key.
Electronic controls
- Time based grinding – The “1-cup” mode can adjust from 0.5 seconds to 25 seconds. The “2-cup” mode can adjust from 0.5 seconds to 35 seconds. You can adjust the time by 0.1 second increments. The semi-automatic mode tracks the time from start to stop.
- Color display – When semi-automatic dosing, the display switches to a picture of a grinding burr with a timer in the center. It will count up by 0.1 second increments until you stop. When electronic dosing, the screen will highlight whether you select “1-cup” or “2-cup”. The timer will count down when you start the grinding cycle.

- Changing grind settings: As with all coffee grinders, it is very important to only change grind settings when the unit is powered ‘on’ and the burrs are in motion. If you do not do this, the burrs will ‘gunk’ up and require cleaning by you every time this occurs. Changing the grind settings when the burrs are not in motion will render the grinder to only produce very coarse grinds or no grinds at all. If this result occurs, this will be considered operator error for lack of following directions, and not be classified as a defective grinder.
- Finding coffee grinds in a new grinder: We have confirmed that the manufacturer tests EVERY grinder with coffee beans before it leaves their facility, but they are not always able to get every trace of coffee out of the grinders after testing. As a result, you may find coffee beans or grinds inside your grinder, or there may be grinds in the packaging when you unwrap it.
- Static issues: There are static issues with all grinders, even the highest quality models. We firmly believe that the static comes from the coffee beans. If you are having static problems with your coffee grinder, trying using a different blend of beans.
- Replacing burrs: NEVER use a flat head screwdriver and hammer to wedge under the burrs for removal. This could badly damage your grinder.
- Electrical cord: Please note that the electrical cord is placed between the packaging (foam or cardboard) and the underside body of the grinder. During shipping, it is normal for a bend or insignificant blemish / slice to damage the cord.
Espresso Grinder Warning
- CLEANING WARNING: We recommend using grinder cleaning agents. We do not recommend any removal of the burrs or burr carrier for cleaning as re-assembly can cause damage.
- ELECTRICAL WARNING: To avoid electrical damage to this espresso grinder which is not considered a manufacturer's defect, please acquire and install a single-outlet surge suppressor rated at 1080 joules or higher. The lack of the recommended surge suppressor, the espresso grinder can be damaged at the power switch, the capacitor, the motor, or the wiring.

I am considering getting a Bianca and an Atom 75. I noticed you ship your Atoms with the Titanium coated burrs. I am curious if you know if these are the Mythos burrs (ie do they say mythos on the side of them?).
I believe that Eureka makes the Mythos burrs and I know they are highly regarded. What I can’t tell from online resources is if there is any difference in material or geometry between burrs labeled “Mythos” and the mythos-compatible Eureka 75mm burrs. Looking at parts websites, there is a significant price difference, I believe around $300 on the TiN versions of each.

Do sell this model without the titanium surface, also does the manufacturer give any approximate time frame to how much longer theY think the titanium last over the steel burrs

At the time of this writing, we will only be carrying this grinder with the Titanium burrs. If things change, it will be a completely different item number. We currently believe that if you are already spending this much money on a high quality grinder, then the little extra for the burrs already installed makes it worthwhile.
It is difficult to forecast the life expectancy of any burr type since it depends on several factors: usage, bean hardness, fineness of grind, and/or foregn debris mixed in with coffee beans.
Are the burrs made of titanium, or are they made of steel with a titanium coating?
