ECM Tamping Station

The ECM Tamping Station is a barista tool to help aid you in performing the perfect tamp. Its design is smaller when you compare to other tamping stations. Your portafilter balances on the tamping station by the handle and lips. This station works best with 58 mm portafilters. Anything smaller may not fit. This is a must-have tool if using a single spout portafilter.

Notes:

  1. We have confirmed that this tamping station is not compatible with the following portafilters:
    • Rocket Giotto
  2. Please note we receive these tampings stations from the manufacturer, ECM. Although they are new in the box, they may come with some marks or scratches.

      Answered by the admin In our test today, the double spout works well and seems to be level. The bottomless, for some reason, can rest, but it is not 100% level as the double - meaning it will push down on the opposite side of the handle when tamped.
      2. is this the right size to be used with Lelit PL41TEM? Or is it right only for ECM machines?

      It is usually fits best with 58mm portafilters. Smaller sizes, like that on the Lelit PL041, Spaziale espresso machines, and certain models of Ascaso with 57mm portafilters handles, it does not work well.

      Sorry, portafilters smaller than 58mm do not work as well as the 58mm ones. We would suggest at looking at alternatives.
