Quality and design are the differences. The price reflects it.

    2. Hello, I was thinking about adding a thermometer to my Vibiemme Junior machine. Im wondering how well this one will function over time or in a kitchen with low sunlight since there are no batteries? I have seen several versions of these now available and am trying to find the most reliable one.

A super small shipment of one or two units is on its way. It will be a few weeks.

    6. I followed the instructions by letter but the threads sheared on me as well. It's not just the clearance but wrong design or too soft alloy used for the fitting. Looking forward to availability of a replacement fitting hoping it will be higher quality.

Some groupheads have a wide hole for this adapter fitting.

    8. This just happened to me as well. The set does not come with ANY instructions and barely any torque was applied before the threading sheared off. Wow. Luckily I was able to get the embedded thread out with some ingenuity. Not cool.

Sorry, this will happen and a reason why we have placed the warning in the description as noted below. In addition, our policies clearly state there are no instructions for parts.

Warning! When inserting the adapter into the grouphead, please make sure to see if the adapter has clearance for the opening when the adapter screws into. In some cases, the opening hole may not be wide enough. In this case, just use plumbers tape to make a seal and do not overtighten.

A So do you have that replacement part? Thanks

We will once our supplier in Italy re-opens and is able to ship. Sorry, they are closed at this time due to the COVID-19.

A In case you're still waiting for a replacement adapter, I've found a cheap fix for the sheared thread. I widened the inner channel with a 5mm drill bit, cut a thread with a 6mm tap, and screwed in a 15 mm long Uxcell M6 full threaded lamp nipple connector with some Teflon tape. Worked like charm.
    10. Hello, I ordered this item and tried to install it, but the threads sheared off inside my grouphead port; I can provide pictures if required. Thankfully, I was able to remove the remaining piece but don't feel comfortable installing this part in my grouphead. Would it be possible to get a refund? Thanks!

Sorry to hear this happen. The threads sheared off because our instructions on our web page were not followed. Unfortunately, we do not accept returns on merchandise damaged by customers during installation.

Warning! When inserting the adapter into the grouphead, please make sure to see if the adapter has clearance for the opening when the adapter screws into. In some cases, the opening hole may not be wide enough. In this case, just use plumbers tape to make a seal and do not overtighten.

A Hi, I want to respond to the answer posted by 1st line - the instructions were in fact followed; there was clearance in the opening hole around the threads but the threads seem to go in snug, therefore no plumbers tape was needed. There's no guidance on what "over-tightening" actually is (ie torque measurement), the bolt was tightened with a short wrench, specifically held closer to the bolt to avoid over tightening.
