Joe Frex/Concept Art Silicone Tamping Station w/ Tamping Stand

The Joe Frex Silicone Tamping Station is one of a few different tamping stations that Joe Frex has to offer. The silicone top is less susceptible to damage when compared to their Wood Tamping Station. The rubber feet help prevent slipping around your countertop while tamping. The front notch is where your portafilter will rest when you are tamping. After tamping, there is a circle indent right behind the front notch where you can rest your portafilter. This tamping station is definitely a must-have if you are using a single spout portafilter.

      JFtib-qaHi,

The notch on the front is also shaped up to fit the portafilter head.  It wouldn't work for the flat underside of a bottomless portafilter. The opposite side where the tamper sits could work although not ideal, because of the indent.
