This is because the filter cartridge incorporates patented BWT Mg2+ technology, which uses filtered water and magnesium to create a mineral. Furthermore, the filter cartridge prevents limescale in your espresso machine, so you will not need to descale so often. However, we do recommend descaling from time to time in order to ensure your machine will last.

The BWT Bestmax Premium uses a five-stage filtration process, which specifies the following:
