The best-built, commercial espresso grinder for home use and an exceptional choice for commercial use.

The automatic timer version has a timer switch on the side so that the grinder will automatically stop grinding. Mazzer decided to no longer produce a manual on/off switch version because they feared their grinders may accidentally be left powered on all day.

The built-in timer allows the unit to auto-shut off after the right amount of time. In other words, you can have the Mazzer Mini grind just the right amount of coffee based on time. However, if you keep the time the same and change the grind setting, the yield will be different.
  • Newest Features:
    • Stainless steel drip tray which replaces the old black plastic one. Also works on older models.
    • Power cord comes out of the bottom instead of on the side.
    • Lower height of 17" due to the newer style bean hopper.
    • Grinder cleaning brush included!
  • Hot Feature! Stepless grinding adjustment: There are an infinite number of settings for grind fineness / coarseness as there are no preset settings found. This allows the operator to "hone in" the Mazzer Mini for the perfect grind for espresso.
  • Removable bean hopper: For easy access to the top burr.
  • Adjustable doser: Allows the operator to change the amount of ground coffee dispensed into the filter handle
  • Built-in tamper: For those that want one. It's not required for proper operation of this grinder and can be removed.
  • Solid chrome plated espresso fork: Hold the filter handle in place when the ground coffee is being dispensed from the doser.
  • Protective finger guard: Located in dosing chamber.
  • Removable burrs: For cleaning of grinding chamber.
  • ETL Certified: Effective July 17, 2006, all of our Mazzer grinders have an ETL certification. ETL certification insures that a manufacturer is utilizing quality components for product safety, and ongoing inspections and site visits by ETL insure that manufacturers do not deviate from those standards of product safety. Ultimately, this insures you that internal components are not changed (usually cost cutting) without the approval of ETL.

  1. Changing grind settings: As with all coffee grinders, it is very important to only change grind settings when the unit is powered 'on' and the burrs are in motion. If you do not do this, the burrs will 'gunk' up and require cleaning by you every time this occurs. Changing the grind settings when the burrs are not in motion will render the grinder to only produce very coarse grinds or no grinds at all. If this result occurs, this will be considered operator error for lack of following directions, and not be classified as a defective grinder.
  2. Manual switch models: These models are no longer being produced by the factory.
  3. Finding coffee grinds in a new grinder: We have confirmed that Mazzer tests EVERY grinder with coffee beans before it leaves their facility, but they are not always able to get every trace of coffee out of the grinders after testing. As a result, you may find coffee beans or grinds inside your grinder, or there may be grinds in the packaging when you unwrap it.
  4. Static issues: There are static issues with all grinders, even the highest quality models. We firmly believe that the static comes from the coffee beans. If you are having static problems with your coffee grinder, trying using a different blend of beans.
  5. Replacing burrs: NEVER use a flat head screwdriver and hammer to wedge under the burrs for removal. This could badly damage your grinder.
  6. Electrical cord: Please note that the electrical cord is placed between the packaging (foam or cardboard) and the underside body of the grinder. During shipping, it is normal for a bend or insignificant blemish / slice to damage the cord.

Review: So far, I am happy with the Mazzer Mini. It clearly is a hiqh-quality machine. I had not planned to spend that much, but it was on sale and the final price was comparable to what I read to be slightly lower quality grinders such as the Rocky. The only minor quirk I have noticed is that the doses sometimes come out to the left of the PF, but I had read about that and it is not a big deal at all. Also, the dosing amount is not quite aligned with the amount of coffee I need for the PF, and I have n... More details

Review: After having a Rancilio Sylvia for 13 years, I finally go around to getting a grinder with doser to make even better expresso. I LOVE the grinder it's well-built and much quieter than any other grinder I've used so that it doesn't wake the entire house when using in the early morning. Best expresso with crema every time.

Review: I had a Baratza Preciso prior to the Mazzer Mini. The adjustment on the Mazzer is threaded on metal, unlike some grinders that has ceramic grinding wheels held together in plastics. To maintain ground consistency, the grinding wheel needs to be held at constant spacing by locking mechanism that can withstand the force pushing them apart. Mazzer has the design right by fabricating the whole assembly in strong metal. I get very consistent ground once the adjustment is set. The lack of give compare... More details
