Do you want the best value in an espresso coffee grinder? This grinder produces a good consistent grind quality that no almost no other espresso coffee grinder can be compared to in this price range. The only all stainless steel, polished body, doserless, conical burr espresso grinder with stepless adjustment for under $300.00. Can we say more? This grinder was designed for grinding espresso only. Although it 'can' be used for other coffee brewing methods, the turning of the knob on the stepless adjustment can be cumbersome to rotate many times for different brew methods. When we say many times, we mean hundreds of rotations. This is why we recommend the grinder be utilized for one brew method only - espresso.

Review: Common advice is to spend $500+ for your espresso grinder. While that will buy you a great grinder it may not be feasible for some. The Lelit PL53 has very consistent grind quality for a very good price. It makes great espresso. The main complaints I've seen in other reviews - the hopper not fitting/cracking and the screw to take the chute off being too long) - seem to have been addressed. No problems with either. My only complain is that the grinder is a tad messy. The catch plate at the bottom... More details

Review: If you are looking for an amazing grinder, this is it. The quality of build and grind are amazing compared to more expensive grinders. It is step less, kind of espresso only grinder. I would never go with those plastic 400 and 500 dollar grinders over this one. Great grinder! It's beautiful...1st line is great to deal with also...

Review: Purchased this product about 1 month ago. It works really well. The original setting is too fine. Initially, the ground was so fine that the ground coffee packed inside the shoot. I called Jim from 1st-line and he was able to walk me through setting adjustment. If anyone is trying to adjust the setting, going to coarse setting may require 30 or 40 full turns from the initial factory setting. I adjusted it back to slightly finer than a full coarse setting. I am very happy with the machine, happie... More details
"One great little espresso grinder"

Review: This is a great grinder and I like it better than my Baratza Preciso. Its very adjustable and makes a consistent grind. Its well built also and has a small footprint. If you are looking for an espresso only grinder then I wouldn't hesitate to give this a try. You can also go to coffeegeek.com and read all the great reviews. Jim is the only person I get my stuff from and is a straight forward guy who tells it like it is. I highly recommend this grinder and 1st-Line for knowledge, equipment and sup... More details

Review: We have had this grinder for a couple of years now and it has performed admirably, and for the price it does a really nice job. The downsides are that it is still a bit messy in that the grinds will often fall beyond the metal catch pan, but the latter is easily removed for brush cleaning around the base. It is also hellishly loud, so it will wake up your whole house when you grind in the morning, but I can live with that for the price. We grind about a pound per week and I have yet to need the ... Review: The Grinder is very good for what it does - its not a heavy unit - i was expecting a little more weigth to it - but other than that its very good - small compact unit - i would recommend.

Review: Have owned many other grinders but this is my first stepless grinder and I am a very impressed. This grinder doesn't have all the bells and whistles you might find elsewhere, but if you're looking for a grinder that will grind exceptionally well, consistently, with the ability to micro-adjust, this is an amazing option. As long as it lasts, and the build quality suggests it will, this will be my grinder of choice. Contemplating getting another one for my office.
"What a difference a grinder makes!"

Review: My first good grinder. WOW, what a difference! Very fine adjustment, easy to use, fill, adjust. The little flanges on the front are very helpful to tapping against to settle the grounds evenly. Very even grind and reasonably quick job of grinding. Cannot BELIEVE what a difference it makes.
