This is the tank model version II of the La Spaziale Vivaldi. Another name for it is Mini Vivaldi II.
The tank model ‘Dual Boiler’ La Spaziale S1 Vivaldi II single group espresso machine is finally in stock. This dual boiler espresso machine has one dedicated boiler for espresso extraction and one dedicated boiler for steam production. You can not ask for anything better than this!
Features:
- The multi-directional steam wand allows you to move it in position for perfect milk frothing and steaming.
- Direct Plumbing NOT Required: A direct water line connection is NOT required for proper and safe operation of this espresso machine. There is a reservoir that slides out from the front of the machine on the left side.
- The vibration pump delivers consistent water pressure to the coffee grinds in the filter basket for the most exquisite extractions.
- Adjustable Volumetric Dosing: The S1 Vivaldi Version II measures the amount of water that flows through the coffee grinds. The dosing is programmable through the touchpad.
- Group Temperature Programming: The temperature of the group head can be regulated through the use of the touchpad and the LED display.
- Electronic Boiler Refill: The boiler is automatically refilled when steam or hot water is extracted from the steam boiler.
- Built in Safety Thermostat: Thermal protection provides overlimit temperature protection.
- Semi automatic hot water delivery by pressing a button on the board.
- Fault Diagnosis Alarms: Indicators for malfunction of machine.
- Boiler Pressure Gauge: Indicates boiler pressure of steam boiler.
- Accessories: two complete portafilter handles, one single cup filter basket, and one two cup filter basket.
- The large, capacity of the steam boiler is 1.2 liter – enough for home entertaining and plenty for low volume commercial applications.
- The steam boiler element has 1250 watts of raw power.
- The capacity of the group boiler at 0.45 liter can handle back-to-back extractions.
- The group boiler element kicks out 800 watts which is more than some home model espresso machines.
Upgrades from previous versions:
- Optional Pre-Infusion Chamber: Now you can add a pre-infusion chamber to your Mini Vivaldi II. This pre-infusion chamber functions the same way a pre-infusion chamber on an E61 group does. There is already a pre-drilled and taped hole in the side of your brew group where the chamber attaches. You simply unscrew the plug that is there and attach the chamber. When ordered at the time of purchase of the machine installation is included at NO additional charge.
- Programmable Off Set Differential: This allows you to set the LED temperature setting on the front of the machine to be equal to the temperature being delivered at the group rather than the temperature inside the group boiler. The original Mini Vivaldi II machines had this feature but it was only a 3 degree adjustment. Although we had not run into any problems setting the proper offset with this small range we figured since it is only a software change why not make it + or – 8 degrees therefore insuring there would NEVER be an issue. Note: We set it during the bench test of each machine prior to shipping so you don’t have to invest in the expensive equipment necessary to perform the tests and setting.
- Dual Manometer: It is no longer necessary to purchase a portafilter with a pressure gauge to either check or make adjustments to your pump’s output pressure.
- Now able to put on a timer: There is cord inside to plug in an OPTIONAL 7 day programmable timer into it. You can have the machine come on and go off at different times on different days.
- The Mini is equipped with the NEW .9 mm four hole steam tip as standard: This NEW .9 mm four hole steam tip on this machine is one of the easiest to produce excellent micro foam fast and easy even with small quantities of milk.
- Decreased delta: What does that mean? The previous model would need to detect a temperature drop of one degree Celsius before the heater would be activated. The NEW Vivaldi II activates the heater with the detection of a temperature drop of just one half degree Celsius. Simply put, it makes the temperature accuracy that much more precise in the group boiler and enhances the steam boilers performance.
- Updated temperature sensing probe: The new probe is actually submerged directly into the boilers. This probe has proven to be more reliable than the previous style and has a quicker reaction time.
- New LED display: The previous display showed 5 degree increments, from 85C to 120C. The NEW Vivaldi II displays in 1 degree increments, from 91C to 97C.
- 91C = 195.8F
- 92C = 197.6F
- 93C = 199.4F
- 94C = 201.2F
- 95C = 203.0F
- 96C = 204.8F
- 97C = 206.6F
- Differential adjust ability: Programming allows you to set the temperature at the group to correspond with the LED. We test each machine and adjust the differential before shipping.
- Programmable Passive Pre-Infusion: This is for the Vivaldi II (along with all of the above except the pre-infusion chamber) All machines shipped after June 26th of 2008 have the capability to program passive pre-infusion anywhere from 1 to 8 seconds. This is the same type of pre-infusion used on some of the most expensive machines on the market. It differs from pre-infusion on an E61 machine in so much as you control the time of the pre-infusion as well as the amount of water you pre-infuse with. You have no control of the pre-infusion on an E61 Group. You can set this for what works best for you and your coffee. Once you set it where you like it, there is nothing you have to do except press the the button to start the brew cycle.
